(Hi I used to come here when I was little and loved it) the service could be better please Maybe smile? Engage with customers ask them how they are if they’ve tried your food before? Recommend something good? Offer them a tray? But unfortunately today.. I went with a friend, I hadn’t been there before - since it moved (I have adhd so I find it hard to focus when it’s a busy environment or noisy or having a busy day myself) Long story short I didn’t get a chance to look at their menu, I had about three members of staff trying to talk to me at once which was very overwhelming for me, i was literally to and from .. no one was trying to help me they could see I was overwhelmed.. I chose my meal and I was spoken to as if I didn’t know how to purchase something? “oh it’s extra for the potatoes! If you want it with soup” well I wouldn’t expect it for free .. and most cafes do offer free bread rolls with your soup? But I understand if it’s extra for one … the soup had no flavour at all I couldn’t taste the tomato it’s very displeasing, it was cold The potatoes were nice but quite hard in the middle .. definitely Not worth £15 .. at all I won’t be coming back here again I went and got cutlery I was just looking at the sachets to see what they were and the lady jumped in and went “oh each sachet is 15p!” What next charging me 10p to breathe ?? Every little thing they charged you for what next 5p per napkin ?! Is literally how it feeling being here today .. not welcoming at all! This happened in the large / main building I...
Read moreWe like coming here as my Mother (who is 96 years old and who is in a wheelchair and has dementia) likes their cheese scones. However, once again we were subjected to appalling 'customer service' from the older short haired blonde woman who's worked here for years - usually serving in the outside kiosk. Goodness knows how she has kept her job. Related to owners maybe?? We always, without fail, make sure we are tucked away so as to not get in the way - not easy though with Mum in a wheelchair (which she cannot get out of so needs to stay seated in it) on a busy Saturday. We had been sitting there happily, with no complaints from other staff members about being 'in the way' until she appeared. We were then suddenly aware of her complaining loudly right behind us and then instead of saying "excuse me" she said aggressively and nastily "UMMMM" over and over again. Why not just ask politely if she could get past? We tried moving Mum in the wheelchair in further but couldn't move in anymore, so the blonde 'lady' barged through, whilst rolling her eyes and carried on complaining loudly to another member of staff. Absolutely appalling behaviour towards an elderly lady in a wheelchair. Get rid of this staff member - ASAP. She is not an asset to you and after speaking to other customers on our way out, they've also noticed (or experienced) her nasty...
Read moreWent in at 11:20 to get a jacket potato for lunch. The food board shows clearly main meals aren't served until 11:30 and the light behind the board was switched off. As the jacket potato board had no such indication, I presumed I could get one at any time. I stood at the counter, trying to catch someone's eye, while members of staff wandered backwards and forwards (obviously preparing for main meal service, which is fair enough). An acknowledgement of my existence would've been nice though. There was an older chap behind the counter that saw me waiting, he wasn't doing anything, so perhaps he could have said something. May I suggest 2 things: if jacket spuds aren't available until 11:30, it's put on the sign so you know where you are, and additionally, that staff, however busy, acknowledge the existance of a potential customer, just out of politeness. When I eventually got served no-one had the decency to say 'sorry to keep...
