Having heard of this place being under new management ,I Booked this place for my sons 21st birthday October 17th 2023 ,with them providing full drinks/buffet/cake/dj/karoke.

I have to say never having never been here before the atmosphere was fantastic for a Tuesday night. The staff were both welcoming, friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for making my sons 21st the night he wanted!!! The bar staff were both attentive and polite with no one being made to feel unwelcome, staff were quick to take and serve our drinks and there were no delays in providing the exception standard of food to our guests! And plenty of it!!! Overall all prices were better than i d expected and dj was both approachable, and happy to take requests at a moments notice too.

This place was clean, tidy and pleasant to spend time in without feeling like an outsider ,truly everyone was fantastic. Personally i Only wish there were more places nearer to my home like this for a great family/night out! An Amazing time had by all attending...sending my compliments to the hardworking team/chef & kitchen staff for their tireless efforts to make everything so perfect....definitely will be attending again soon. 😀

Many thanks for everything .keep up the hard work.Your staff are a credit to...

Disappointing First Visit – Not Worth a Return

After months of curiosity, we finally decided to try this pub, as we often pass by it on our walks. Unfortunately, it was a letdown.

To start, we waited 40 minutes for our food despite being their very first customer of the day. When it finally arrived, the fish was far from fresh and tasted like it had been reheated. The chips were lukewarm, as though they'd been sitting out for a while, and the garden peas were inconsistently heated, with some portions still cold, suggesting they were frozen and poorly reheated.

The service was equally disappointing. The female bartender seemed uninterested in serving us, giving her attention instead to regulars on the other side of the bar. This lack of attentiveness made the experience feel unwelcome.

Additionally, the pub entrance isn’t accessible to those with wheelchairs or mobility aids, as it has a step instead of a ramp, making it less inclusive.

Overall, this visit left a sour impression, and we’re certain it will be our first and last visit. It's definitely not the experience...

Me and my family went for food. There was a ballon man and disco, the 3 kids were dancing on the dance floor when the landlady approached very aggressively saying how she can’t handle the sound of the kids and we had to leave. This was at 7.15pm. The kids were just being kids and weren’t causing any harm they were the only ones on the dance floor so only ones getting involved with the entertainment. When my boyfriend went to pay the bill she assaulted him while he had my daughter in his hands, she then was screaming in his face and pulling his clothes. When we we able to get outside she proceeded to attack him (I had taken my daughter after the first time she attacked him) she then punched him in the face 4 times. She is very aggressive and scared all the children. She is clearly a big drinker and it’s scary what kind of people are trusted to run a pub. I will be taking...

Excellent value for money. Friendly staff, who remember you and spark up a conversation. Always willing to help and accommodate where they can with your food choices. The staff always make a fuss over our dog too. A genuine, nice, casual atmosphere with a choice of bar area or restaurant area dinning.

Really enjoyable trip to this pub after a day at the Ageas Bowl. Excellent beer, friendly service and nice outside seating options. The food was also generously portioned and tasted great. I had cajun chicken breast with wedges and side salad, my companion had surf and turf.
