Big bar, friendly staff and surprisingly good food. We popped in here for a quick drink and some food before going to The Point, and we were really pleased we did. I had a pint of mango cider and it was great, I maybe would have a half in future as it was quite sweet, but I did enjoy it. They have loads of really interesting ciders and beers, my partner had a beer but I don't know which but he said it was great. I then had the vegan burger, why is nothing vegetarian anymore I wonder? And i asked for real cheese, the whole thing was really nice and very filling. They do the burgers in different sizes two patties being the standard and plenty for me, I'm a big eater! My partner had the curry with rice and he liked tgat too. If I were in the area and wanted a nice cider and food I wouldn't hesitate to go in again. My only slight dislike is the vast amount of TV screens everywhere, I mean everywhere you really can't miss them! Great if you are watching a game with sound on but no game and no sound on the night we went in. So we tried to ignore some sort of fishing programme where they kept holding up lobster before dropping them into massive water tanks. Not great TV even with sound on but veth odd and a bit horrid without sound. Try as you might the TV's are...
Read moreWe wanted to say a massive thank you to all the staff at The Station for helping us enjoy the Euros! We have gone to this pub for several years for England games but it was really top drawer for this tournament, so well organised and managed. It's great for sport because there are so many screens, between the little ones in the booths, the big screen and the numerous TVs dotted about even shorties like me can be guaranteed a good view when it's busy. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and worked their socks off keeping us all fed and topped up on drinks so that we could enjoy the match, and importantly the atmosphere was always great. We even got novelty England hats on our tables! The food is always really tasty (and we've sampled lots of different dishes!). We went here for all the England games except the ones we were lucky enough to be in Germany for, and had a fantastic time. Shame it didn't come home but thanks for helping us have an awesome time cheering them on! See...
