I absolutely loce harvesters and was exctited all day to only be disappointed..... I am only giving 2 stars because most of the food we had was okay. Yesterday I arrived before my partner and nephew and was greeted and seated fine. I said I was waiting for two others and there was no problem. They arrived, we looked at the menu and thought someone would come take a drink order soon..... 15-20 minutes later someone finally came to take our order. The restaurant wasn't busy at all.... especially not busy enough for a wait that long. I think because we got sat in the middle when all other diners where sat to the sides we were forgotten about. We ordered our food. I asked for a simple change of fries to a jacket potato and got the response of hmmmm shouldn't really but okay. We then started to get our salad to be approached by the waitress saying they have no jacket potatoes and I have to have fries. I was startled that she hadn't waited for me to sit back at my table and said sure that's fine. Our food came out in quick time. Not once did a single member of staff come over to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Both myself and my nephew left our bacon off our meals as it was pretty much uncooked. Then when we finally got the bill instead of giving us it then coming back in a few minutes our server stood over us awkwardly while we were trying to decide what to do with payment. In all honestly I won't be returning to...
Read moreDear Sir/Madam, I would like to feedback two things. The service was pretty good. Our waiter was friendly and helped to engage the kids. The pricing and ‘t&cs’ of your offers are utterly outrageous. The fact that there is no clear indication that they are non-compatible or that if you use 1 you can’t use another coat is a small fortune. We have 4 children and eating out is a treat for us as a family. After our experience this time, we will not be returning. As parents, we look to find the best possible value for our times out and your ‘kids eat for £1 at Easter’ offer was a wonderful opportunity. However, by missing the small print - which is barely visible - we ordered our food unaware of the the small fortune we were about to spend. It transpires that the kids ‘meal-deal’ is an offer, the 2-course meal we ordered was an offer. Our special treat night ended up costing us over £20 more than we anticipated. Ultimately, although I’m annoyed about the money, I’m more upset at the way in which your poor waiter had to explain to us that, he was really sorry but, it was going to be the full price. The lack of transparency was very poor and as I said earlier, we won’t be returning to your restaurant chain. We will also be telling all our friends of our experience - and encouraging them not to...
Read moreI very rarely leave a negative review but was really disappointed with my experience here!
we had a meal on the 11th of august.
I ordered the slow roasted pork belly. There was not one good thing about this meal. the meat was tough, dry and hard to cut let alone swallow! the roast potatoes (I paid extra for more) were small and am shocked at how little I received for paying extra for more! I can only imagine the size of a normal portion. the Yorkshire pudding was freezing cold and I received no gravy! worst roast dinner I have EVER eaten and cost more than I have ever paid! The waitress was extremely rude, and gave me an incredibly dirty look when my other half paid for the meal. I would like to stress she used our JOINT bank card not hers, regardless of this I do not expect to be looked down on.
The only redeeming factor is that at the very least my partner enjoyed her pasta dish, however she did have to fish the spoon out of the bowl as the waitress dropped it in.
overall a very disappointing experience from a restaurant chain I usually...
