Babucci — Restaurant in Elmbridge

I cannot rate this place highly enough, it always blows me away how wonderful it is all round. We have been here so many times - and whenever I crave an Indian I crave Babucci specifically - because the food is wonderful (and very very resonably priced for the quality!), the staff and service are absolutely faultless - they can't do enough to help you and even when it is busy (which it is a lot and for good reason!) and if you haven't booked they do their utmost to find you a table - even when it looks impossible! And it doesnt matter how busy it is the service is always attentive, friendly and fast. We also order for delivery and it is always super and fast and you can do it direct on their website. On one occassion their website wouldnt take my card payment so we rang and they immediately took our order over the phone with pleasure - and we could hear how busy they were in the background! Such impressive service and team. I was just singing this place's praises to a friend and realised id never left them a review! Cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant or give it a higher...

not a great experience last night, collected my food and returned home only to find that there were items missing and some of the items were wrong and everything i had was cold. Called the restaurant, manager was apologetic and said i can have the missing items next time i come which was a bit of an insult, who wants to pay for food now and eat it in 4 weeks time? As we live 5 minutes walk away from the restaurant, my daughter said she would collect the missing items although we would have to wait another 10 minutes for them to be ready as well as the time it took to walk to and from the restaurant. When she got back, the nan bread was wrong type again although it did have the correct name written on the foil. I called the restaurant again and was pretty much told impossible and he confirmed with the chef. So now im being told im making this up??? great way to do musiness guys. The quality of the food on this occasion was very poor which is a shame as ive had a few good curries prior to this but will probably never use them again after their response...

We ate in this restaurant on 16 September and found the experience to be quite stressful. We had not booked but were given a table and waited quite a long time to be served and once we’d ordered the food we waited some 35 minutes for it to arrive. One of the meals was wrong and so we had to wait again for this. Once we finished eating our main course was very quickly cleared away and the bill brought to us before we’d asked for it! We were not offered any dessert and told “sorry but we need the table now”. Had we been told this in the first place then we may well have not eaten there as we were made to feel very rushed and were not relaxed at all. Also, there was a woman vaping at a table close to us and was not asked to stop. Again not a pleasant experience having to breathe this in whilst eating. Whilst the staff were friendly and polite it just felt as though they were trying to cram as many in as they could and their statement on the website about it being a relaxed atmosphere could not have been further from the truth. A very disappointing...
