Khao Sarn — Restaurant in Elmbridge

Omg where do I begin....I am shocked. Arrived here for a table booked for 2 for 7.30pm.

Waited ages for food over 45 mins...complementary prawn crackers given to certain tables and not all.

The sad thing was that I began to enjoy our food and had ordered sticky rice...where there was a prominent black hair which was definitely from the kitchen as I have long black hair and this was a smaller hair.

Then I tried to stay discreet to avoid any embarrassment on staff and asked her to change over.

I then ordered a bananas fritter dessert ...but to my shocking surprise this also came with a hair on the side. Again, trying to save face I walked over to the desk to inform them that something was not right in the kitchen. I got no apology but they offered a replacement where I said no.

Rather than apologising for ruining our meal, they actually expected me to pay for the dessert too. As I confronted this I got abuse back that they had replaced the sticky rice!!

I am very unhappy with my visit that I had read thod restaurant to have 5 stars and some good reviews. Sorry but definitely not worth this status.

A very disappointed...

Another reason why I love London is that it is a real gastronomy center! You can find real authentic local flavors in their original taste. This beautiful restaurant has been operating for a long time and looks like a family business. The atmosphere of the restaurant is true to its roots, as it should be. The service is quite good in the restaurant, It wasn't too crowded when I went for dinner, and the staff is helpful and friendly.

The taste of the food is good, I especially liked the Tom Yum Prawns soup and Pad Thai Prawn (you should know that it is a bit heavy meal). The beginnings are also good. I think it is a real Thai restaurant experience.

They didn't forget the treat at the end...

We visited this eve for our wedding anniversary . And all I can say is we will definitely be back . The staff are polite and really friendly . As for the food my goodness it was amazing so tasty and the smells from all the spices is out of this world. My only criticism is its situated net to a pub and the night we went they had a live band on and you couldn't really make out the background music in the restaurant. I know it's called background music for a reason but It would be nice to hear it to complete your dinning experience but on the whole I would give this place 10 out of 10 will return and will def make use of the uber seats option...
