I recently visited Cantina 41, an authentic Italian restaurant and I must say it was an incredible experience!

Have been here several times before and rated it highly so no hesitation in booking for Saturday 23/10/21, 8.15pm. Unfortunately on arrival they seemed unable to find our booking from 3 hours earlier. And even though there were at least 4 empty tables (why, at 8pm on a Saturday?) they insisted all those tables were reserved with preference, so we would have to sit at the tiny table no. 1 - which was everyone's favourite, they told us - even though no-one had reserved it. Maybe because it was so cramped, it only had one chair. The second diner would have to sit on a cushion on the window sill. Fine for a couple of kids, not for us. The young lady at front of house dug her heels in, refused us another table, and was content for us to walk away, so we did. My husband and I went for lunch for the second time at cantina 41 last Saturday; as the previous experience was very good. Unfortunately our second time; was completely the opposite. I ordered the vegetarian platter, which is described as “selection of grilled vegetables, cheeses and cucoli”…. Well; there was NO GRILLED VEGETABLES AT ALL, 2 slices of mozzarella, 1 FRIED goat cheese and fried pieces of pizza dough Before ordering, I had asked the waiter for the description and she did not mention anything about EVERYTHING being fried on the dish When the dish arrived; I was shocked and called the waiter… neither the male neither the female waiter bothered to come to our table They spoke to us from far; and when very unsatisfied my husband called them again to come to the table; they simply looked at us and turned their back AWFUL Never...
