Han Fu — Restaurant in Elmbridge

I have lived in Thames Ditton for 10 years and constantly try and support local business as much as I can.

Every now and then I order from The Real China.

Their front of house presentation and phone ordering process is excellent.

Sorry to say the quality of the food is terrible.Classic examples:

[1] Ordered dry ribs takeaway

Foil container half full of red liquid and rubbery ribs - binned. They repeatedly apologise but don't change.

[2] - Ordered Aromatic duck on try again bases.

The quality of the cuts was so unacceptable (60% fat)I wondered what the chefs think when they cook.

[3] Special fried rice - After many years of eating UK Chinese food, I concluded the choice cuts and veg included was disgraceful.

I will add that they do cook a few good dishes. They are very good on seafood. My concern is that as seafood is riddled with difficulty, so I'm not sure 2016.

In conclusion, I just don't understand why they remain near empty through the window every time I pass by, and can't fix their business.

But this is just my personal experience...

We ordered from Han Fu for the second last night and sadly I don’t think we’ll be ordering again. The food is decent enough (although I wouldn’t advise the lemon chicken) but the administration lets it down. First time we ordered they forgot one of the main dishes. Fortunately we had over ordered so it was ok but we paid for a dish we didn’t get?? When I emailed to tell them they apologised and said we’d get a credit next time we ordered. We ordered last night (and picked an available time slot about an hour ahead) and it arrived 50 minutes late with no apology whatsoever, plus no credit. I gently tried to ask why it was so late and all I got was “£42 please”. Possibly a language barrier but surely you apologise when you’re that late?! Sadly we won’t order...

I visited The Real China in Bayswater, London and I will never go there again. The customer service was terrible, there was next to no food or desserts available and all the food was cold and runny (watery rice and chow mein). Additionally non of the food was tasty either. I also found two hairs in my food. It was so bad that I saw some customers leave without paying. The meal in total cost me £14. I really do not recommend this restaurant to anybody. Such a waste of money and a waste of space in your stomach. I am sure that place will close down soon....
