Nando's Walton-on-Thames — Restaurant in Elmbridge

This branch usually never disappoints, however, today we received some of the worst service we have ever experienced in a restaurant. No one on the door as we walked in so we had to seat ourselves, luckily we order online so we didn’t need the menus. We ordered and expected to at least receive our water promptly but 20 minutes go by and we don’t even get our drinks… young guy must be about 18 storming around on his phone not even taking notice of us, walking past debris on the floor and not even picking it up. Finally half an hour goes by and we get our food. Still no drink. Same grumpy young man delivers it and I ask for the drinks and the perinase which they have forgotten. We also get no cutlery or napkins and when I ask for some he just lazily points to the top of the shop and says to get it ourselves. What the heck kind of service is that? The kitchen was playing its own music as well so we had to endure that for the entire duration if the visit because it was so loud. I would like to start off by saying that I have worked in the catering/hospitality industry for 25+ years (owner of my own restaurant). So please understand that I know what good customer service should be.

I have been coming to the Walton-on-Thames nandos for years. Every time I visit, we are always greeted by a man named DAVID. I cannot thank this gentleman enough. He is the MOST caring person I have ever come across in a restaurant. He always greeted you with a smile. He is always asking you if you have any questions about the menu or anything else. He makes you feel welcomed and valued as a customer, not just a number. He's always making sure that everything is ok with your meal and if you can get you anything else at all. My own staff are not as carrying as this man. He is just wonderful. A genuine caring man!!!! Please give this man a raise!!!!

We went to visit our dear friend and we decide to go and have lunch at the nearest Nandos , and our friend suggests the one in Waltonon Thames. We were greeted by David who make sure that all thru service it was fine . The chicken were delicious like how we like it . We are from Lewisham south east and our local one in Catford is the best too.Yes David our server was lovely and he left to get ready for his next shift and we waived good nite to him . Next when we finished we had Anna and she is so sweet . I give her a big thumb for her service and kindness . In all the staff are very nice and professional. If we happened to be there again we sure come back to you.
