OK, first off, I have to say the food was very nice and tasty, just a little light on portion size as I still went home hungry. The burger I had was very tasty, the chips just as tasteful. The refills were a great addition at first expectation, unfortunately a poor substitute for the real thing. The Coke Zero was exceptionally watered down, over carbonated and did not hit the spot like the real thing. This was the clincher for me at I always like to have the real thing. I loved the added extra of the free monkey nuts that you can constantly refill, we made great use of that feature, we are a salty bunch!
Secondly, I can't fault Five Guys, it's really well set up, a great business model that actually works. The problem for me is the price. For 4 of us it came to just over £70, something I wouldn't of expected for what the meals consisted of and their simplicity. The pricing model is very much out of place for the range they set themselves within. I would duly put this down as a luxury eat, not to be done so often. In fact, I probably wouldn't return due to this as I feel I'm very much being overcharged for what I could have for the same price.
Great meal, very small portions and overpriced. Food tasted lovely though. The staff were pleasant but not over helpful. I've given it 3-stars for these reasons alone, make of it what you will. For an experience, I want that impressed with the decor and the set up of the restaurant, it didn't feel like homely or...

If you’re looking for a burger that feels handcrafted just for you, Five Guys is the place. From the moment you walk in, the smell of sizzling beef and fresh-cut fries hits you like a warm welcome. The menu keeps it simple—burgers, hot dogs, fries, and shakes—but it’s the quality that makes all the difference.
The patties are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to order, and the customizable toppings mean you get exactly what you want every time (pro tip: grilled onions + mushrooms + jalapeños = magic). The fries? Crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and served in ridiculously generous portions. Oh, and don’t skip the peanut oil—they make them taste extra rich.
Staff here are upbeat and friendly, the atmosphere is casual and inviting, and the open kitchen lets you watch your burger being made. Prices match the quality, and you always feel like you’re getting your...
Read moreI've been told a lot about five guys and how great their burgers were so was really excited to try it out but I can honestly say: i've had a better burger at a McDonald's. Chips had way too much salt on and tasted like they had been sitting there for ages. They were lukewarm and not very nice. Chips are fried in peanut oil and were really fatty. Burgers were really poor quality and everything from the patty to the burger itself was just poor. It took a long time from order to receiving the food and the place was really quiet. Tables were adequately clean.
It's now 2hrs since I've eaten and I still feel queasy.
Toilets are upstairs. There is one disabled toilet downstairs with a baby change table but everything past the cooking area smelt of urine so I wasn't particularly happy to have my kids on it.
All in all: avoid this restaurant. There's much better ones in...
