Read moreAfter having a nice meal, paying the bill and leaving a tip, we sat finishing our drinks at the table about an hour after we'd walked in. We were told we needed to leave the table as it was needed (even though there were 2 empty tables behind us exactly the same as ours). We listened to his request and were literally just waiting for me to finish. He kept walking back past us begging us to move! 😡 It was only when we pointed out that we had booked the table for 8pm 2 or 3 weeks ago that he started apologising! Telling us he's sorry, he was really rushed that night. There's no excuse for this behaviour whether we'd booked or just walked in off the street. Every customer deserves to eat and drink at their own pace! I'm absolutely disgusted with the attitude of this guy and will not be returning to a la turka. It's a shame the customer service was so bad as we'd enjoyed the lovely food but he was just so rude it made the meal worthless. I would not recommend going unless you are prepared to have a rushed meal with demands to leave so they can grab more money from customers. Very very...
Read moreWe booked A la Turka for our Christmas Day meal and cannot praise the restaurant highly enough.
From start to finish the team were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us.
The food was abundent, of great quality and perfectly cooked.
I the salmon for starters which was wrapped around cream cheese. All very fresh and so much of it I could have stopped at that. For main I had a seafood parcel which contained king prawns, salmon and monk fish - cooked to perfection with vegetables and baby potatoes with a side salad.
Also on the menu for starters were soup, mese, lamb and baked feta. For mains there was lamb shanks, steak, and traditional roast. The choice was perfect for us as we have very different tastes.
My only advice is don't wear anything tight around your waist as like I mentioned earlier there is an ambundence of food.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and we will be booking again...
