Yara - Stockton Heath — Restaurant in England

Extremely unhappy with the service here this evening at Yara Stockton health. We had been out all day and really needed some nice food with no fuss. We ordered on the phone with Yaser and were told 20 mins. My partner went and picked the food up, came home and we discovered two items are missing (Greek salad and a rice) to us (especially the salad as it was the only dish my daughter wanted). Bearing in mind we had just spent £66 on a take away, ringing to explain we had two items missing, we certainly didn’t think we would be challenged. I was told on the phone by Yaser the items were 100% put in the bag and they have evidence! The items were 100% NOT put in the bag, we even checked the car etc in case something had fallen out (no success). After being made to feel like we were lying and somehow trying to receive a free rice and salad (£66 down!!) the only option Yaser gave me was to come and pick up the missing dishes, the food was already out and the kids were hungry, totally not an option at the point. No option of delivering it OR refund. Missing dishes aside (we can get over that) it’s the audacity of suggesting we were lying and are somehow trying to get some free salad and rice! Terrible customer service and has unfortunately left a very bad taste in our mouths and will NOT be visiting yara Stockton health again or ordering again, such a shame as I’ve never had a problem with the Altrincham restaurant. Maybe some training in customer service...

We had a lovely time eating at this beautiful restaurant today!

Starters were so tasty it was hard to stop eating, especially the sujuk! The portions were big, and everything looked great on the plate. Then came the main dishes — wow! That was a real feast!! The lamb was so soft and full of flavor, the chicken was juicy, and the rice with mushrooms was amazing, it just melted in my mouth. The fresh salad on the side made the whole meal even better.

For dessert, I had the honey cake. I have to say, it really touched me. With the first bite, I felt like I was back in my childhood, eating my grandma’s homemade cake. It was such a sweet and special moment.🥰🥰

And I can’t forget to mention the staff and the manager. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were at home. The manager was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. He was really professional and friendly. Every restaurant should have someone like him! The owners are lucky to have him on their team.

This was our first visit, but it won’t be the last! We’ll be back soon, and we’ll tell our friends to come too. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere made it...

The restaurant has so much potential however; Let down by the service, which was second rate.

Table for 2 people, restaurant was nowhere near capacity. Initial drinks order wasn’t taken accurately or delivered fully. Starter was good and enjoyable with lots of choice. My main course arrived and it wasn’t what I ordered , with the wrong information given to the kitchen. Had to wait for the correct meal to arrive. The meat was chewy and for me, undercooked. No follow up questions to see if we were ok or needed any more drinks. Once finished, it took an age to clear our fully stacked table of empty plates. Staff weren’t keeping an eye on where they were in the service. When the bill arrived it already included an “optional” service charge , which I asked to be removed entirely as the service was left wanting.

Overall, disappointing first visit and won’t be back for a while. There are better restaurants nearby which have a more enjoyable experience. Yara, lacks atmosphere, the food is mediocre and the service was second rate. Needs an experienced supervisor to ensure guests are...
