Read moreAvatar is interesting. Nepal is a country much visited by the Brits: first, the hippy trail crowd, and then the trekkers and climbers, for whom the country is a mecca. Well, among many other things, Everest is there. But Nepalese food is rarely found, and authentic Nepalese food vanishingly so. I imagine many have happy memories of the national dish, dal baat (literally lentils and rice), and the ever-present Thakali. Service was very good too with more than enough staff on what was a very busy, and sadly, loud evening. Conversation levels had to be raised which had the effect of just increasing the noise so ambience wasn’t perfect. However, overall, we really enjoyed our meal here and I vow to return inside two...
