I tried bar Luga a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised as originally I just thought It was a cocktail bar downstairs. We took a wander upstairs and found a rather large restaurant. The decor is fabulous clean and ambient. Staff were lovely couldn't do enough for you, however a smile 😀 goes a long way :) customers remember the service they recieve. Will definitely be back in the upcoming weeks to try out some new dishes. Here's a little photo dump of some of the dishes. Beautiful food. Oh and I also realised they catered for private functions an added bonus for christenings, baby showers or small weddings.

Atmosphere was nice sitting outside. But value for money not good. Requested glass of prosecco and measure was shocking. I did ask if this was correct measure as I seen her use the last of the bottle of prosecco for my drink. She replied ' yes two fingers from the top' Never heard of this before. I did take a photo will add. My rationale is everyone's fingers are different sizes. My honest opinion is that is was nearly closing and didn't want to open another bottle. If its a prosecco glass the best measure to get it the same would fill it to the top even if the cost is more, you know then the measure is right.

We had our wedding reception last week there, the venue, food service, communication before the wedding, professionalism and warm welcoming the staff, and all the extra things they helped us with were amazing and beyond our expectations. They did a brilliant job and thank you all for the nice night. And a special thank you to Andrew, who was a great help at all times, and one of the staff who we didn't catch the name but she helped us to send everyone home with a piece of cake in a nice box. Thank you very much all the Barluga Team Lois and Amir

I recently attended a wedding at Barluga Morpeth and was so impressed from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful stylish yet welcoming, with a lovely atmosphere that made the day feel really special.

Emily, who looked after the wedding party, deserves a huge mention. She was so organised, professional, and attentive throughout the day. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure everything ran smoothly, and thanks to her, the whole event felt seamless and stress-free. She really went above and beyond to make the day perfect.

The food was another highlight every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and of a really high standard. It’s not always easy catering for a large group, but everything came out fresh and full of flavour.

Overall, Barluga Morpeth is a fantastic wedding venue. The combination of excellent service, and top quality food made it a day to remember. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering it for...

We visited Barluga to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were a party of four, two of whom have lactose intolerance. The food was very tasty and of exceptional quality. We all had Barluga burgers and they were delicious and very well presented. We decided to have a sweet which included: the strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake; vegan ice cream; and the Baileys Irish Cream and white chocolate bread and butter pudding which is most definitely the best bread and butter pudding we had ever tasted. We had heard that Dan Suggate had returned to this restaurant as Head Chef so we thought we would give it a try and we weren't disappointed. A vast improvement on our experience when we last visited. The customer service was also very good. Overall, it was an excellent...

Sat 23rd 2.05pm, young lad with beard and headset downstairs was plain rude to us, dismissive attitude, visibly angry we asked for directions to lift. Arrogant guy, unpleasant first contact with the company for sure, put him on dishes. Food was ok, just ok.. high end prices not warranted. Bit of a ripoff. Most of the other staff were nice, some were excellent. But felt they're all really pressured, likely the company not putting enough people on, hence they're all stressed, which transfers on to customers. Imo, greedy company that cares more about bottom line than their staff or their customers. Great potential if owners stop penny pinching, currently not...
