Farm-shop/delicatessen with a cozy cafe in the heart of morpeth, wide variety of shop items, beautifully presented and well stocked, deli selection wasn't the best but I suppose it is early in the week and late in the day for the full variety which is quite understandable. A complete wide range of meals and beverages with ample choice, the panini arrived and it was brilliant, quality and quantity was amazing which is a bonus as it's usually one or the other. Delicious and plenty to eat so exellent value for money. Calm environment not rowdy or busy which is nice when you just want a relaxing cuppa before your holiday shopping. Unfortunately ran out of jacket potato's which is also understandable as it was after 15:00 and can be quite the challenge anticipating sales and upkeeping availability so late in the day. overall everything was perfect, pleasant visit, most definitely will return, quality meal. Enjoyable experience it is truly a distinguished dream in the...
Read moreHave eaten here several times in the past but very disappointed in prices last visit 1st September 2018. Ordered egg mayo sandwiches twice, a bacon and brie panini and a kids ham and cheese panini. A drink each. £30?! I was astounded that a can of coke was £2.05 I have never paid so much for a can of pop. Nothing in the fridge was cheaper either. Tea was served in dated stainless steel pots which were terrible pourers and the handles of which were scalding to the touch and tiny white mass produced tea cups. For such a cute little shop was expecting nice china. Looking around a lot of the items for sale were very expensive. £17.50 for a tea cosy? Can't complain about the service which was fast and friendly. Plenty of staff behind the desk we counted at least 6. Maybe that explains the cost? I don't know. Disappointed. It's not like there aren't alternatives in Morpeth and we'll be visiting one of...
Read moreThough attached to the bus station this most definitely isn't what you'd expect judging by it's location. It's really a cross between a well-stocked delicatessen and trendy café, selling packaged foods and specialist items (e.g. local craft beers and liqueurs) plus lots of fresh food to eat on the premises - or if it's a nice day in the small exterior seating area.
A very handy place to meet, being just next to the Morpeth's main car park for visiting shoppers, the staff are extremely friendly and the food is of the highest quality. The all-day breakfast and smoked salmon platter are particularly recommended, though if in a hurry you can also buy fantastic pies more amenable to eat on the go. There's also a large specialist cheese counter. The latte isn't perhaps quite as good as you'd find at some of the high street coffee chains but that's the only minor negative point. Highly...
