Very poor! Stopped next door in the premier inn and purchased the meal deal. Unfortunately, it wasn't a beefeater chain connected as they are 100% better. Firstly, we entered for dinner and immediately thought it's very quiet and for good reason! The burger was bland, and the mixed grill was tasteless burnt overcooked sausages, overcooked onion rings, undercooked chips, and overcooked eggs? Don't think whoever cooked this had cooked in their life. The only part that was average at best was the steak, which is not 4 ounces, more like 2! Even the dessert looked like a rushed job. Far too much sauce in the ice cream was more like a yoghurt very sickly! Breakfast the next morning was equally as bad! Greasy rubbish another mixture of undercooked and overcooked food again. Ended up just having pan au chocolates, which was the only decent thing. The coffee machine was broken, so it was a choice of tea or the most awful ground powder coffee in sachets. Then, on the way out to top it off, my young 1 year old tried to open a door in the breakfast area, and it wasn't even attached! Could have easily caused injury as it fell flat on the floor and just missed her. I mentioned that it was very dangerous and was told it was getting fixed no common sense to put a sign up as a warning and barrier it off!? Then the woman looked like she was talking about me to another staff member even though I was just trying to make sure it didn't happen to anyone else's child and avoid any accidents! AVOID

No good for allergies!!We had a large party of people. It was cheap and cheerful but the female staff member seeing to us that night was rude and and showed no compassion when it came to allergies/celiac disease. I checked beforehand if it was ok for the person with celiac to bring their own food and was told by a very nice lady that it was ok. But on the night the person with celiac was treated with hostility and was told she would have to eat off their gluten free menu. Online it states they cannot guarantee gluten free due to cross contamination so own food was brought. I stated that she will be eating her own food and the staff member said that she's going to have to do some checking and that she should look at the Gluten free menu. It was the manor in which it was broached that made for an uncomfortable beginning to a 40th Birthday celebration. People with celiac disease have enough to contend with without rudeness when they go into a restaurant. Staff need educating more on the seriousness of allergies. There were over 20 of us...one person eating their own food so that they can partake in a family celebration should not be a problem. There was a lovely young chap bringing the meals out and he was delightful...he rescued the evening somewhat.

Breakfast Friday 1 Nov 24 Very very disappointed. We arrived for breakfast about 0930. On entering we had to wait a good while before a rather scruffy looking man in a tired grey jumper arrived, asking what we wanted, NO GREETING !! we stated breakfast to which he replied, grab a seat down THAT end and help yourselves when you are ready. It was a buffet meal. The £10.99 all you can eat breakfast was laid out for our selection. On display were 10 trays that were supposed to contain our choices. Four we empty as there was no:, Tomatoes, bacon, sausages, or mushrooms. The hash brown were cold the baked beans were all tomatoes sauce and very few beans, the fried eggs looked as if they had been there a very long time. Our grey friend appeared behind the servery and I asked where all the missing items were, his reply was Just keep coming back and looking. With that he took the few black pudding that that were available and walked away into the kitchens. We were left with Cold hash browns runny baked beans, cold lumpy scrambled eggs. Never again!!! Codicil! the coffee was not bad My honest opinion? I dare not put it in print. It was good for us that Morrison's open at 1000

Disappointing. Stayed in the attached Premier Inn for 2 nights and ate here on both nights. The first night I wasn't even shown to my table, just pointed in the vague general direction and told a table number by the disinterested bald Scottish guy on duty. He was totally disinterested in providing service and when a other table complained about the food he just said what do you want me to do about it. Also waited 30 minutes for a dessert despite the fact there were only 2 or 3 other tables eating. Breakfast the next morning was adequate but the bacon was so overcooked and hard it was inedible. The next evening I arrived only to be told that I would have to sit in the bar as all the tables were being relaid for breakfast. This was despite booking in advance and was only reluctantly given a table after pointing out this fact. Breakfast on the final day was a shambles with no organisation. I had to wait over 30 minutes to get some cooked breakfast due to no food being available on the buffet and then when food was available there were no plates. The food was also inedible as it wasn't cooked correctly and the 2 serving staff were uninterested in providing service. People were also filling pint glasses with fruit juice rather than the provided glasses so there was never any juice available. All in all it was very disappointing and these issues need addressing by management either by retraining or employing staff actually wanting to do their job to the...
