KFC Barrow in Furness - Hollywood Retail Park — Restaurant in England

A rare visit to Barrow led to us having lunch in KFC as it is the nearest outlet to Windermere, where we live. The building is tired and lifeless compared to some other outlets, and could do with a rethink on the decor.

The food service was slow, but given it was so busy, only to be expected, but items were missed off our order and we had to return to the counter for the missing items. I had a Aero Chocolate Krushems drink, which was inferior in size and price to competitors offerings - notably COSTA Coffees Frappes which are larger and better for around the same price. At least the chicken fillets were nice, and the fries were crispy and fresh. Sadly the popcorn chicken was not. The staff were friendly and apologised for the short order, and seemed overwhelmed by the number of customers. I'm not sure more staff would have helped - they seemed more short of space than staff... I feel certain a slimmed down menu would help - the more items available, the more likelyhood of errors. £38+ for three persons fast food seemed steep - I hope it gets spent on...

9 times out of 10 the times that I go here it's a great experience and I get a nice full filling meal, however, in the not too far past, I found myself and my companions to be arriving on a cold night and went in to get a lovely meal only to find out that they were only serving in drive through. We recognized their problem and agreed that once we had finished with finding out what we'd like, we'd go back through the drive through. Not too long after we were greeted with some sort of ogre with a horrible attitude, snapping at us to tell us we weren't to order inside. This is the same woman that most times we are ordering from there, always has a dull face and always is in some sort of mood, not to show any signs of happiness or joy. Everything else about the place is great, just not...

Took my son here at the weekend. Box meal for 1 and a zinger tower box meal. With a portion of chill bites £25!!!!! What the duck!! Plus, they messed the order up, giving me beans instead of gravy, chips (no where hear a large) were soggy, and the burger had very little sauce on it, so was dry! and finally they must be using wings off a chicken that's just hatched. They were tiny not even a mouthful, And all for TWENTY FIVE QUID!!! FOR DINNER THO!!! I've not been for a while and won't be going back at those prices! I have to say they did replace just my order the following day (i didnt have my son with me so just got mine or would of been greedy) and the gravy wasn't nice and thick like it should be, and still don't think you get anywhere near enough chips!! No quality control in...
