So me and my family are regulars. We live on walney and normally love to be here. Recently though well at least the last 5 times we've been it's been terrible to say the least. The food has never been good like it used too. The mash I'd lumpy the gravy is overly thick and been sat a while with skin thicker than 3mm. I've had dirty glasses and been told my glass is clean. I'm sorry but it really wasn't clean I don't want to drink from a cloudy glass with scum around the top. My partner had a large meal but when he went to get his food he was told they would bring the sausages to him as they went ready. We were there for 45 mins at least and the sausages never came out. The bar staff wasn't exactly friendly when we asked for replacement drinks because of our glasses. There was only so much food out. They guy doing the carvery was doing all he could really. He can't serve food if it isn't cooked. The place was definitely not busy. I actually feel bad I'm leaving this review but I'm upset at the fact every time we go and something isn't right and we say something we end up leaving frustrated and still hungry.

Came for our Christmas lunch 10.12.22. We were greeted by Dean and shown 2 our table . We were then served by jorden molly and megan threwout the meal . Nothing was ever 2 much for them and they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.Even gave us crackers . Great service and the food was delicious. We had starter along with mains (some carvery ,veggie and the burger stack) but we were all to full for dessert. Not a problem they boxed it up for us to bring home . . Thank YOU all very much Have a happy Christmas You all work so hard x

Called here today for the first time after the rebrand to a pizza restaurant and have to say I was a bit disappointed. The food was good - I had a pizza which was ready within 10 mins of ordering but my daughter who ordered the 'help yourself' carvery queued for 45 mins for her food. There was a TV on in the middle of the restaurant playing football so people were shouting at the game which was disturbing. Despite the food being good and well portioned, and prices reasonable I Probably wouldn't go again.

The young man working tonight, unsure of his name but young with blonde hair I think was lovely. We were sat upstairs in the booth next to another family and he spoke to both very confidently and friendly. His attitude and personality was very friendly and bubbly. Before we left we were tidying up and he told us not to worry and he wouldn’t mind tidying up for us.From what he was saying it sounded like he likes his work and was talking to us about the too good to go app. He brought my daughter some crayons and colouring sheet without asking. Last few times we’ve been I’ve always noticed the nice staff most of the time it’s either been Molly or the gentleman I think is the manager. But the attitude of our server tonight was even above we’ve previously experienced from the ferry. Drinks and food all was fast and good. Would love for this review to be passed on to him as customers really do notice and seems like he is a good part to...

Not eaten here before, we were recommended by a local family member On arrival the pub was extremely busy. We were immediately greeted by Caryn, who was so welcoming and professional. When you walk into a strange busy place this is such a bonus. We were informed thar a table for two would be cleared and we would be shown to the the table asap. We ordered drinks at the bar, again the young man behind the bar was friendly and professional. A great choice of beers on offer. We decided on the carvery, which was excellent. Lovely to see this business doing so well. It's such hard work but you didn't let it show. The staff that we encountered are a credit to you. We were in Barrow visiting a relative in hospital and to have such a lovely welcome and a wonderful meal was great. Will definitely come again Wishing you all the best for the future Thank you to Caryn and all the staff, of course including...
