Unfortunately a group of 6 purchased before us and this meant there would be a delay for our single bacon toasty and coffee and cake. The coffee and fig cake came out after 20 minutes (cake was delicious) and toasty came out after another 20 minutes. Regardless of how many people are ordering, 40 minutes for bacon and toast is an awful long time. Probably didn't help on this particular day that they were only open from 10 till 12 and gave the impression that they would rather be somewhere else, my partner commented on what a lovely area to have a cafe and was met with half a smile and nothing else....

Waiting for the car to get new tyres fitted at National Tyre (a Halfords Company.....) I stumbled upon this lovely little cafe and all of its quirky contents - staff included.

A lovely Americano and a rich, crumbly and packed sausage roll proving to be just the restorative I didn't know I needed - even if it was proffered by the waitress to everyone before finding its way to its rightful consumer... hilarious, as I watched it unfold, and no grudge at all, it should probably write its own...

Excellent customer service, friendly and a warm environment... not to mention great coffee! We were able to sit down enjoying the lovely views of Fordington Green and have a laugh with some of the staff. The cafe was clean, well furnished and accommodating for our family of four. We enjoyed a fresh baguette with the best coffee I'm yet to try in the beautiful town of Dorchester.

Highly recommend visiting here and seeing what this family owned and run cafe...
