Delightful park that is visited by many, ideal for wheelchair users too. Lots of picnic benches scattered around. Beautiful fountain to throw pennies in and make a wish. Cute little ice cream hut with toilets. Tennis courts that are well looked after. Fantastic show of flowers and beautiful large trees. Little play area for very young ones which also has a water feature but not on at the moment due to covid but when it is on it is very much enjoyed by children. There is an outdoor gym equipment which is used well. Outdoor table tennis table . Gorgeous band stand that is beautifully painted along with a fancy tall clock. There is plenty to see and do, lots of seats scattered around, very easily spend all day in the park by all ages. Great place for roller skating, scooter etc for the kids. Take along a great picnic and join in the wonderful friendly atmosphere. There is often events like, local food event, cider festival, music events, bands, something...

I work as a care assistant and often bring people I support to these beautiful gardens to sit and enjoy their lunch .There is a cafe / shop at the top end near the children's play area which is a space parents with small children will relish .On hot days there are dancing fountains which are great fun .There have been events throughout the summer ....and a wonderful atmosphere in the holidays as families have picnics and relax or play ball games .It is the most beautifully kept gardens with a grand fountain over to one side and tennis courts at the lower far end .They are in constant use before and after Wimbledon has been and gone . I have taken my son there when he was younger and the play area is still a big draw at the age of 6.Good toilet facilities near the cafe and a newly installed outdoor gym .A...

Beautiful at any time of year. Bright well-tended flower beds and lots of mature trees. Plenty of benches and picnic tables for those of us who enjoy simply sitting quietly taking in the seasonal changes. For the more active, there are tennis courts and an outdoor gym area. Refreshments are available from the kiosk near the children's play area. I would give five stars, but access to the women's toilets is restricted to one person at a time, with only one of the three cubicles open, so if someone leaves it in a state that means no decent facilities available at all. Other council owned toilets in town, with much smaller cubicles are fully open and have been fully open for months, so there is no reason why these...

Well the number of times i have pasted this place looking down from the train. Well I finally got round to having a little Wanda around d what can only be described as a gorgeous well looked after little Victorian Garden. It has the Gorgeous Clock 🤩 (Definitely shows Weymouth's seafront one needs a paint). The sweet little Bandstand and the very gorgeous and slightly tucked away water fountain are all very looked after. With plenty of grassed area for sitting and paths and benches and the plentiful history. I can see why this place gets packed out sometimes. Definitely Worth a look if you are in Dorchester and a decent little place to have your take out lunch or just 15 mins you time to watch the world tick by.

Well kept, clean and lovely outdoor area. It had a kids playground, manual excercise area, bandstand, water fountain monument. A wooden hut refreshment area selling drinks, snacks etc but opening hours may vary depending on the busyness of each day. The lady was just closing up when we arrived about 3pm however she still served us and explained she was only shutting up earlier than usual due to it not being as busy. The flowers were blooming and well looked after. Overall a great place and worth a visit
