This place is allot bigger then you would think from the outside, we had a look at the menu and the prices looked reasonable so we went in. The place was busy ( which is a goo'd sign) our order came to us quickly and was really tasty. A friendly and pleasant service and we wouldn't have a problem in going again.

Tucked away down a side street, you'd miss it if it wasn't for a couple of tables being in view. The food and service are exceptional and reasonably priced. There was no vegetarian roast as an option but they swapped the meat for cauliflower cheese and made some vegetarian gravy especially. A gem of a place.

A big mistake.....to forget this where you get a good meal served by people who want to serve you. Served fresh hot good veggie choice and you can go for a blow out or fresh sandwich. Good breakfast formula you build your own. Range of jacket spuds. Glass of water fresh. Coffee not barrista clean.

Wish I was allowed to rate this place a zero. The waitress we had was combative and argued with several coustomers over mistakes made as she did not have a proper understanding of the English language.... I really want to make it clear, that I do not speak two languages, and she clearly has some grasp of English which I find admirable. However wether you are proficient or not, you DO NOT ARGUE WITH THE COUSTOMER! My son and I are currently on a low carb diet, so we ordered the Moroccan Chicken omelette.. My son had his, mine was unfortunately a Mushroom omelette, which contained potatoes. Um am avoiding carbs and am allergic to mushrooms..?? They apologised and did offer me morrocan chicken skewers, free of charge. However in the middle of all of this, my friend who was having lunch with me, never got her Welsh Rarebit at all before we had to leave for a scheduled appointment. which known to the staff. My friend had placed her order, which was "forgotten" when we spoke to staff and explained the mistake and the urgency they promised immediate service. Needless to say that was not the case and we had to leave. This place needs to look at hiring more staff, and staff who are more Coustomer oriented. So disappointed. WILL NEVER, EVER eat there again....

We stopped in Dorchester for a browse round on our way to Devon and so pleased we did thanks to the lovely staff & food at Walnut Grove.

It’s rare, these days, in my opinion, to get such awesome customer service - the type where attention to detail is everything. For example, seeing we had two children with us ‘everything on the menu is available as a children’s portion’ as we were seated and whilst waiting patiently with a toddler for the toilet, one member of staff came over and led us upstairs to another.

The food was delicious, cooked fresh and served efficiently. The crab sandwich was absolutely divine.

Both my children ate the majority of theirs - cheese & bacon topped chips for one and cheese sandwich for another, rather rare for them to devour food like that!

Absolute cracking place to eat and staff are a real credit to the...
