Burgerhood — Restaurant in England

I have been a very regular customer since the day Burgerhood opened, always rating their burgers and food and the chips have always been top class. Last night we ordered our favourites from burgerhood through Uber eats, when this arrived, our food was freezing cold, soggy, very dry and shrivelled chips and looked like it has been sitting on a hot plate all day drying out before sending it out to us! It was inedible and unsalvageable and absolutely awful quality. I phoned the restaurant straight away and immediately requested a replacement or a refund which the man in the phone instantly refused and through the language barrier then proceeded to tell me to contact Uber on a bogus number that is obviously for drivers and doesn't work unless you have specific delivery codes! I proceed to ask the restaurant on the phone to help me and that I don't want to contact Uber as that leaves me with no food and down on £25. He constantly refused and then proceeded to end the call. I couldn't contact Uber in anyway, so I finally managed to get a refund for my food this morning from PayPal. In the meantime last night we then went to BurgerBoi for some food as we were starving and this was absolutely amazing, red hot and significantly tastier and better. So you've lost a long standing loyal customer and I will never return. You couldn't resolve my issue and just proceed to not help and leave me to resolve my issue elsewhere and to eat from somewhere else. I am appalled at the service I received as a long time customer and think the customer service is awful and the food has gone...

Hands down one of the best burger places that I have ever been to and certainly a hole in the wall place! Visited on a two-day trip to Derby and found this after tiring five days in Midlands overall! We were tired and didn’t think it would taste as good as it was (the classic cheeseburger). These burgers in other places taste (and often) smell funky, but this one was smooth and not processed type! Innovative and unique fries too! Must visit and definitely a 5-star! PS: The staff was quite helpful, thoughtful and generous :) They not only helped (and patiently) answer our questions, but also allowed us to decide the items from menu that best suited to our taste and preferences - this including tasting of their sauces 🙂 Kudos to the team, especially Terry (the server) and Erkan (the head chef) - who (by the way) makes all the patties and sauces himself and this is why it taste so fresh, yummy and well quite unique 💚 They also use 100% all beef or chicken products and source local farms to support the community. I usually love this place and usually the foods great, but I won't be going again with the attitude and treatment of how they behaved with my nephew. We ordered food as a family and they said they'd be exactly 15 minutes. I'm a man of timing so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them 30 minutes. On arriving there, they said the food wasn't done and he said 10 minutes. My nephew walked out and waited in the car for an additional 25 minutes. Totalling close to an hour. He went in and the older gentlemen said that he had cancelled the order. Annoyed he rang me and I spoke to the older gentleman there who clearly said "we're busy. Go somewhere else!"

I was livid as we'd waited over an hour at this point and gotten no where. We ordered from somewhere else. But never again, the attitude of this organisation from the success they've been receiving has been appalling. This had also happened to someone else too. Will be letting my family and friends...
