Cafe Eight — Restaurant in England

Went in today and was fairly quiet only 2 other tables seated, ordered the food and expected decent quality as all the other reviews were quiet high, ordered the burger and chips, burger was missing item which was requested and blamed the chef in front of a customer (not what you expect) the burger bun was dripping with greases so didn't eat it all, partner had the frankfurter breakfast and said they tasted really cheap, we paid and left and as we go down the road my partner ended up being sick and half hour later I'm writing this review while sitting on the toilet, my drink was pretty decent though I mean can't go wrong with a bottle of lucozade.

We even heard another table saying that they wouldn't go back again and I completely...

Went in last friday about 1ish, sat at a table by the door it was about 3/4 full, we waited & waited for the bloke to come and take our order but he didn't even acknowledge us after about 8 mins 4 others walked in and sat down further into the restaurant, the bloke didn't notice them as he was getting something out the fridge, about 2 mins later he came round the counter and went over to take their order,,🙈🙈🤷🤷🤷 er hello we had been there over 10 mins and still he not interested in taking our order etc, gutted as so wanted the liver n mash,,🙁🙁 when you cant be bothered to serve new customers you lose new customers end of… great fish n chips over the road with great friendly service… so a minus -10 out of 10...

This place should avoided. The food was so bad it was almost funny. I ordered homemade pie with veg. The pie was tiny and hard, harder than my mate and he's pretty tough. Yhe veg had been in the water so long it was wearing a life jacket . My mate had the Full English. That the owner should connect the word English to that breakfast shows he has real courage and an imagination to match his lack of scruple. When I paid the cheeky bar steward sneaked an extra £1.80 onto the total AND overcharged me for what we had ! I decided to let it go, clearly they were having a chuffing chuckle at my expense and I wasn't in the mood for a ruck.

YOU , however, should go to Rosso a few doors down....
