Indian Monsoon — Restaurant in England

Very disappointed with their horrid service. We ordered 'food' on two occasions - one takeaway and one dining in. When I called up for a takeaway, the man who answered the phone sounded half asleep - couldn't understand a word he was saying. 1 hour and 35 mins later, food still hadn't arrived!! The man said 'the driver just left ten minutes ago'. (Keep in mind, we live only 7 mins away from Indian Monsoon). 30 mins later food arrived. Food was disgusting, soggy and freezingly cold - all of it went in the bin!. I called them up to complain saying that my food took 2 hours to deliver and we threw all of it away. The man handed it over to the manager who had the audacity to say 'are you sure? The food was delivered on time'!!!!!!!! A few days later, I decided to give them another chance, but this time dining in. Food tasted horrible as expected. We waiting nearly an hour for the food to arrive. The only good point i have to say is that the decor looked ok. The waiter seemed very eager to take our money. All in all, I strongly recommend to NOT go here. We will definitely not be coming here again and will be taking out...

I rung the restaurant to tell them my little sister is allergic to eggs and nuts. I asked them to check if what I was ordering for her was egg and nut free. They said yes, egg and nut free. I then put it in writing in the delivery note, saying the order was to be egg and nut free. Upon collection I TRIPLE checked for the allergies and they told me it was fine.

Lo and behold, the dish I ordered for the allergy sufferer had 2 egg halfs in it. Even though the description did not say it should come with egg AND the restaurant assured me there was no egg.

We were a group of 6 and had a table for exactly 6, it was large enough for all the food and drinks we ordered. The restaurant is up some stairs within an old stylish building, it has a nice very big fireplace though it was not in use but adds character, also it has old wood beams which makes the room a pleasant area. All our dishes were good and we had no complaints, the service was good and our food arrived within 25 minutes. The prices are reasonable and they have a good choice of dishes.
