Cafe The Vibes — Restaurant in England

We visited Café The Vibes in Leighton Buzzard for a family birthday breakfast (6 of us in total). We all ordered something different, along with fruit shakes and lattes.

The service was mixed – we were seated quickly and our waitress was very friendly and attentive, but the rest of the staff seemed less engaged.

The food was disappointing overall. My breakfast (1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 bacon, beans) was let down by fatty bacon, an overcooked sausage, and an egg with undercooked whites. One of the kids’ smashed avocado breakfast was underwhelming, and the French toast lacked flavour. The pancakes and fruit were fresh, and the shakes were enjoyable, though rather overpriced.

The café itself is clean with quirky décor, though not really to my taste. One improvement would be the music choice – Lil Wayne at 9am felt a little out of place for a breakfast setting.

This was the first time going there after friends recommended it. I was soo disappointed with the service firstly they put us outside and said when a next table becomes Available they would move us. We had to move ourselves as everyone was getting seated inside.

We then ordered our food and the waiter went off so we thought she’d put in the order but than 10 minutes after she come back and asked to go through the order to double check.

We then waited an hour for the breakfast!

The breakfast was cold and they forgot about my toast which I said I wanted brown I did ask her where my toast was? She said it’ll be a couple minutes. 10 minutes passed than another waiter brang me white toast at that point I couldn’t be bothered I just told her I don’t want it anymore😴

The manager asked what’s the problem as he could tell I wasn’t happy!

Fantastic breakfast choices. We had New York breakfast which was very nicely cooked served with fruit and Vibes Granola Special, which was delicious plus a pot of tea for two. Really good service and food came quickly. Sat in semi-open area downstairs overlooking canal. Nice to be able to see kitchen upstairs ( which is ground floor). If their other good is up to this standard then a great place to eat. Update from Feb 2022: Still a great place for casual eating, had their Frenchies breakfast today and a week ago had Chef's pasta special, all great with lovely service. My first time in several weeks having been in hospital for a back operation, food and service continues to be great.
