Caffè Nero — Restaurant in England

My first ever visit to Yarm and I was looking for an independent coffee shop. However I happened upon this unusual Nero café.

Once inside I noticed just how bright and well kept this establishment is. Usually this chain is incredibly dark and cramped but this branch is the most elegant that I've ever encountered.

The service here is excellent and it exudes a very pleasant atmosphere. I was of course questioned about photographing the interior. I find it strange that people think that photography is illegal in the country that invented the art, unless you're using a crappy mobile phone instead of a camera. I never had this problem in other countries where the people go out of their way to appear on camera.

We went in as a group of church-going young people and were very kind and respectful to all who were around us. Some of our group (including myself) had bought food previously from other shops, but some other people were buying in the cafe. We were then approached by a staff member at our table telling us that we need to leave as they don’t want us eating other food. Which we think is respectable but the way we were approached was very rude and disrespectfully. We then had to wait for our friends to get their food and leave. Over all we felt very stereotyped as young people, especially as we pride ourselves on being very kind and respectful.we have decided that we will not be returning as we offered to stop eating our food but were still asked to leave. Despite being winter they had the air conditioning on during our last few visits. Cold and the air con isn't ventilation so it spreads viruses. Unpleasant. Hot chocolate poor quality and Luke warm. Later edit: We asked staff to turn off the air conditioning when in recently but they refused. They had heating and air conditioning on together.
