Nossa — Restaurant in Great Britain

Live locally and have been to nossa many times, mainly for the decor and food and coffee is reasonable . Each time I’ve been the staff are lovely bar the owner . I can’t believe he has a business in hospitality . He is rude / arrogant and dismissive . The last time I when was the worst experience at a cafe I’ve ever had . I ordered poached eggs from a lovely waitress . On arrival the eggs were undercooked. I actually didn’t say anything for a while as I have encountered the owners attitude if you ask for something or complain. The food was inedible so as the waitress passed I mentioned it and politely said it’s ok not to make a fresh one as my friend was half way through her breakfast . At the till he made sure he served us . He stated that I would be paying for the eggs . He proceeded to bring the eggs on the plate from the kitchen. We had been there well over an hour so he had kept them aside purely for the purpose of shoving them in my face at the till . I calmly said I wouldn’t be paying for them . He stated I would be once again . I said I wouldn’t as they were inedible . He stated I pay or not to come back again . I said goodbye to the lovely waitress and I walked out . I have looked at reviews and can see it is not only myself he is rude to . I can’t believe he actually has a business that is still running . The staff there change constantly and I suspect it is because of the way he treats them too . The place is lovely itself and without him being the owner would be a lovely...

Came in for breakfast and food was great and service was pretty good too, the girl serving us seemed new but was great.

However, the gentleman who seemed to be the manager/ front of house, I do apologise for not knowing his name, but bald in his 40s/50s wearing smart casual clothing on the Sunday morning shift.

On the whole he was attentive taking our order however at first we were told off a Iite bluntly for ordering food first before coffee which just felt a bit jarring and unnecessary.

Later on he proceeded to shout at a female member of staff right in front of me and to be honest the way he spoke to her was out of order and made us just really uncomfortable, I don’t think a manager should be shouting at a member of staff just for having to cover a few tables on a section, anyone who’s worked in a restaurant knows that’s part of working together. Maybe have a quiet discussion to the side instead.

I wasn’t able to leave a tip as I didn’t have cash, however I would of been ensuring the tip went to the rest of the staff on shift who were smiley and really saved the general atmosphere of the place, which why the star rating is still neutral.

I didn’t want it to seem too harsh and hate leaving crap reviews, because it was still good food, with good staff, in a lovely place, but I just felt something should be said as it was poor management and situational awareness. Above all it’s really put me off coming back to...

Unfortunately I found the owner to be very rude. Me and my boyfriend went in for a brunch, we’ve been in a few times and had a dessert. The food was all ok, however i ordered a cake afterwards, which tasted awful like vinegar, like it was out of date. We couldn’t eat it, all 3 of us tried it and found it inedible, we let the waiter know that we couldn’t eat the dessert served to us. The owner then got angry about us not enjoying the cake, saying ‘my cake didn’t taste good, no chance no chance we sell loads of these’. We found his response to be very rude, then told us to go outside and wait for the bill which there was no need for as we were only trying to provide honest feedback.
