Calne Cafe — Restaurant in England

My wife and I both had set breakfast number 4. Outstandingly good, especially the bacon and lovely creamy eggs, and the portions were generous....if you don't arrive hungry, you won't finish it all.

The coffee - we couldn't work out if it was filter or instant, but whatever, it was great. They had oat milk for my wife's coffee and normal milk for mine, and both arrived nicely frothed.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the background music level was just right, not blaring and not subliminal either. The cafe itself and the crockery and cutlery were spotlessly clean.

Add a decent chilled orange juice for us both, and the total bill came to a shade over £22.

We will be back - especially as I had no room this time for...

It is exactly what it says it is, it is a Cafe, if you are looking for Michelin star, keep walking. The food was tasty and service was excellent. Arrived at 2:20 to find the cafe sign was being turned to closed. (Despite officially being closed at 3pm)

Update I have been contacted to say the cafe was open until 3pm and that the sign must have been turned by a child - This may have been believable if I hadn’t literally seen the staff member turning the sign as we drove...
