This was my forth time visiting, and safe to say I won’t be returning. I don’t usually write reviews, but I would genuinely hate to think of any other customers having the same experience we had so I have to shed some light. We had made a booking for 7pm, as we arrived we got seated fairly promptly, however we were then abandoned for 45 minutes until we eventually got our drinks and food order taken. We then got our drinks by about 8pm (an hour into our pre-booked table). We didn’t get our food until 9pm, and when it arrived I only got my dish, with two other people on my table being told ‘the chefs have missed your order so it’s being prepared now’ - so the other dishes arrived late. My steak that I ordered not only took over an hour to be served, but was inedible, very chewy and I could barely cut into it. I had it sent back to the kitchen and they made a new one to order, which took a further 15 minutes, when this steak arrived it was even worse, so by this point as many can imagine, we were ready to just leave. It was such a shame, they took the steak order off the bill but that was it. After this very poor service, I feel the staff could’ve done much more to show their apologies, but we paid the bill and didn’t get an apology or any money off. It was clear that the staff were struggling and there was no proper order or management that seemed to know what they were doing, it’s so clear improvements need making as this is just not acceptable for...
Read moreMy wife and me had a table booked at 14:30 on Saturday 10/07/2021, we stood waiting by the entrance for about 5 minutes while a member of staff finished off a telephone conversation. We then received a rather luke warm welcome and were shown to our table, we ordered 2 overpriced aperitifs and then decided to have a starter to share so ordered a bruschetta ... whilst waiting for it to arrive a customer on an adjacent table seemed very upset that she' d been charged £6 for a pint of soda and lime, she complained but still had to pay the £6!! The bruschetta arrived and comprised of a tiny sliver of ungrilled soggy bread and one variety of chopped tomatoes and was extremely underwhelming to the taste. I ordered the Linguini Allegro and my wife asked for the penne Arabiata, on arrival our meals were very small portions and were tepid at best and neither could be described as a taste sensation! We washed this down with an extraordinarily disappointing Italian sauvignon blanc which was a eye watering £22.50 a bottle. All in all a very disappointing and very expensive time was had by all in a pretty dour atmosphere.
Casa used to be one of our favourite dining venues when it first opened and beyond but it has certainly nose dived since those days, so unless you enjoy being ripped off for a very mediocre dining experience, I'd recommend giving it...
Read moreThis is a lovely Italian restaurant which, in my honest opinion, has slipped its standards from before Covid came along. We had been here on half a dozen times prior and we were really looking forward to returning to celebrate my wife's and our grandsons 11th Birthday's. The restaurant knew this however they decided to ignore this and instead gave us cold and unfriendly service. If the waiting staff have been trained to deliver unemotional, cold and efficient service then that's pretty much what we got except they couldn't even get our order right!! The food itself was nicely presented and in most part very nice and enjoyable however because they got an order wrong it meant one person in our party of 5 had to eat later than the rest of us which is not really ecceptable especially when your bill comes to over £140.00 We have a big party coming up to celebrate another family birthday, which would be for 16 relatives, but we will be looking elsewhere instead which is...
