Embarking on a midday sojourn at the illustrious Tesoro Lounge promised a respite from the mundane rhythms of daily life, beckoning with the allure of a culinary oasis amidst the bustling currents of the lunch hour. Yet, alas, my culinary odyssey was met with a series of missteps that left me adrift in a sea of disappointment.
As the clock struck noon, I eagerly awaited the unveiling of Tesoro's lunchtime offerings, harboring hopes of a repast that would elevate the mundane to the sublime. Alas, my anticipation was swiftly met with the disheartening revelation of an overcooked chicken dish, its once succulent flesh now rendered dry and lackluster under the unyielding gaze of culinary neglect.
Seeking solace in the comforting embrace of cheesy chips, I found myself confronted with a paltry offering that bore scant resemblance to its promised indulgence. Bereft of the promised richness and abundance, the chips languished beneath a meager smattering of cheese, a mere whisper of the decadence they purported to embody.
As the shadows of disappointment lengthened, so too did the weight of the price tag attached to this culinary misadventure. The disparity between cost and quality served as a sobering reminder of the fleeting nature of gastronomic satisfaction, leaving me to ponder the true value of such a lackluster repast.
In the aftermath of this culinary excursion, I was left to grapple with the lingering taste of regret—a bitter reminder of the missed opportunity to savor the delights of Tesoro Lounge's lunchtime offerings. While the ambiance may have hinted at sophistication and refinement, the reality proved to be a far cry from the promised oasis of culinary excellence.
In conclusion, Tesoro Lounge's lunchtime offerings, while promising respite from the rigors of the day, ultimately failed to deliver on their lofty aspirations. With overcooked poultry, lackluster cheesy chips, and a price point that belied their inherent shortcomings, the treasures of Tesoro proved to be naught but fool's gold. Proceed with caution, dear diner, for the sands of disappointment may lie just beneath...
Read moreThis is mine and my partners favourite place to have a quiet, laid-back night out or treat ourselves to brunch. Never have trouble finding a table, you can just walk in and pick where you want to sit, the staff are always friendly and smiling. The food is always fantastic, and the menu is regularly updated with new and exciting dishes to try, it’s where we always go when we can’t decide what sort of food we want to go out for, because the menu covers just about anything you could want, does one of you want a burger while the other wants tapas? You will both leave here happy and with full stomachs. They also have a wide variety of drinks, both alcoholic and alcohol-free (they make a great coffee too!) It’s the sort of place you can go at any time of day, the atmosphere is chilled out and you never feel out of place. The prices are about what you’d expect to pay, they usually have decent deals on mid-week for things like cocktails which are normally what is going to bump up your bill. On the occasions we have brought the kids there has always been good options for them and the children’s menus also double up as activity sheets which is a nice touch. Ordering is super simple; you can choose to do it at the bar, but we just use the online ordering system which is done by scanning a QR code and entering your...
Read moreThis is a tough one to review because this place has a lot going for it, but falls short when it comes to customer service. I am no stranger to 'lounges', and have eaten many times at Bolero in Yate, Tinto on the Gloucester Road, the one in Westbury on Trym, and even in Weymouth. 1st November was my 65th birthday, and we went to Tesoro to meet up with friends. Now, OK, I'm old, but doesn't all age groups like customer service? Maybe Lounge owners are aiming at younger generation who are happy to order food on their phones without having to interact with any staff members. Now, I have a smart phone, I know how to use a QR code, but when waiting staff are clearing tables, bringing food and drinks to your table, why can't they take your order? Having been unable to make eye contact with any staff, and being completely ignored when verbally asking for assistance, I reluctantly used the QR code. Having placed the order, you're asked would you like to leave a tip!!!! For what! I haven't even spoken to anyone yet, let alone receive any service!! Come on Lounge owners, unless you've forgotten, you're in the hospitality industry, start offering some! That all said, great burger, dog friendly and the manager listened to my comments on the day, and seemed...
