Stopped in Thorbury for the weekend and thought it would be nice to treat the wife to a meal so googled indian restaurants in Thorbury and a few come up all good reviews .Thorbury Tandoori stood out as a cosy looking atmospheric place so booked online .on arrival we were seated the restaurant was full all eating drinking having fun which was a good start. I was surprised by how spacious the restaurant was inside, it didn't feel cramped like some can and I had initially expected a tiny one room restaurant judging by the outside. I had the chicken tikka masala, which had a nice flavour, but the sauce was too thin and the chicken was not as tender as I have come to expect from other restaraunts. We also ordered plain rice, but received rice with onions, rice should be totally plain if ordered as such. The Chicken pakora was nice and plentiful, so top marks for that. The Tandoori chicken (as a starter) was a little small and again not the best quality meat in my opinion.
