Caspers Pizza Restaurant Under new management — Restaurant in England

I spent last night with 10 guests for my son's 21st, 01-06-13. We'd never been to Casper's so thought would give it a try being local to town for convenience. This was a huge mistake! Tables were not set with enough cutlery even though we had booked the table and not just turned up off the cuff. We had to go to the reception area/til desk to let them know we were ready to order after being in the building for more than half an hour. After ordering we then had to wait for well over an hour for our food to be delivered to the table and yet take away orders were flying out of the door one after the other to the point that they were stacking up on the desk and no delivery driver there to take them. Once the meals arrived at the table, i had the lasagne, this was dry and had not seen a tomato to make the bolognaise sauce part of the lasagne let alone used any, flavour was completely absent and the bottom layer of pasta was burnt! The cheese was like plastic and to top it off i found a piece of bone in the mince which put me off completely and i left it. The salad that went with it had only lettuce, and red onion, no sign of tomato or cucumber. My daughter's meal was a calzone which the pizza bread to make this was still a little doughy. Other members in the party had also said they were not happy with the service or the meal and would not be going there again nor recommending it to anyone. Waited an hour for order to come to table, when it did It was it was not of a standard acceptable even though expectations were now low following the wait . Decided the uncooked lamb wouldn't be safe to eat, pizza dough was similarly not cooked, any hope of a meal ruined beyond the chips seemed ok but we'd not be staying so before leaving spoke to the manager. Far from any sympathy he became immediately angry which meant any we had left for him evaporated when he resorted to swearing at us. We left him a tenner that would have covered his costs but a tenner more than it was worth. Staff were nice, manager needs to at least question his business acumen as his poor attitude saw customers turning around and leaving as they entered and witnessed the appalling attitude he displayed unashamedly. Manager much more disgusting than the uncooked food...

Ordered from Uber eats at 18:10. When I rang the first time at 19:25 they said it was just being cooked. My estimated delivery time was between 19:10 and 19:30. Rang back at 19:45 and they said it was just coming out the kitchen and would be another 15 or 29 minutes. They used the excuse that they were very busy. Not really bothered how busy they are I placed an order and expect it to be delivered when they say and not be fobbed off. Will definitely not use caspers again. If you don’t mind waiting 2 hours for you food then fill your boots. Finally arrived at 20:10. Absolutely shocking service wouldn’t use this restaurant ever again and the food...
