Chaloner Street Coffee House — Restaurant in England

First time in since it changed hands. Have to say I was very disappointed with the coffee. What was meant to be flat white was, well, just milky coffee. There was no foam at all, just a bit of milky scum (though the owner claims flat white should have no foam - go figure). The coffees also came quite late, by which time we'd finished the bagel and crumpet. Didn't complain, didn't want to embarrass the girl who made them. Better staff training needed I think. Looking for a different café, found Taste down this side street. Nice menu for a small café, coffee excellent, only had scone this time it was tasty. But will be there again and have lunch next time. Well 2nd time here at at Taste, I went especially for the tagine soup. It wasn't on the menu 😢, but on commenting on it, I was told they actually had one portion left. It was excellent, tasty and spicy just has I like it. Well done Taste, delighted to have enjoyed lunch. Too home my cake, that too...

Such a lovely hidden gem! Me and my sister were walking around and stubble upon this coffee shop. The staff were very friendly. We both got hot choclates with all the toppings, and the quality was brilliant. You could tell it was done properly with quality profucts. And the sausage ciabattas were also lovely. Even better that they were dog friendly, so we were able to bring my sisters little puppy in. Such a lovely place and we will definitely...
