Cock & Bottle — Restaurant in England

It's been along time since I have been in this pub,so was excited to return.I walked in the door and it was like time had stood still.The place was exactly the same.Like it was stuck in a time warp.Before I get to the nitty gritty.The bar staff were lovely,welcoming and extremely friendly.Heres the BUT....The place is in desperate need of a bit of TLC.The same toilet roll holder was broken in the ladies and bear in mind it's been years since I've been here.But the biggest thing is the furniture O.M.G!!!!I really had NO words.Its a friendly neighbourhood pub but it's tired.Do the place a favour.Buy some new seats and give it a lick of paint.I'm sure the locals wouldn't mind.That said its still...

What could of been a great evening wa spoilt by an arrogent barman by the of SIMON. How rude was he to which he was told... I came with a group of friends who showed respect to both bar and city but he is a total rat.. Mark who is the owner is lovely and we would of stayed because how lovely he was but Simon was arrogant and rude! I am of a respectful age and he was a rude child!! In my opinion!..I informed Simon that I was writing a reviewn about him and his total disrespect for us...

Editing my review; then by several times well before closing time and told they were closed. 6X hasn't been served in a very very long time. Just went by on February 5th. 2025 at 10:36 p.m. their closing time is listed as 11:30 p.m. and we were told to basically get out.

They keep Wadsworth 6x on and in good condition which was awesome.
