Golden Ball — Restaurant in England

Very surprised and pleased to find this pub near where we were staying in York. We felt immediately at home in a pub that is community owned and run by locals. Art on the walls, families with children doing ‘colouring in‘ and a nice enclosed beer garden out the back. The guys at the bar were so friendly, welcoming and happy to let customers try the amazing range of locally brewed beers on offer (& they had great musical taste too - thanks for the ‘Allah-Las’ BTW). We went to the Golden Ball two nights out of the three that we were in York - on the second night a bunch of people turned up with instruments and began to play together, only adding to the great atmosphere. Boring. You can start improving by putting a mirror in the ladies toilet because it is a must. Also the socialist worker poster in the garden room seems boring. It needs some neo gothic ambience there. Clocks colours are too gray. The performances are also not good and extremely boring. Pub area is too small. It also needs to consider capitalist people and vibes.

Maybe also put elon musk poster next to the socialist poster so it is all inclusive? Can start with some zaha hadid design architecture and neo interior design furniture.

The Golden Ball is a traditional Victorian backstreet local. The interior was altered and improved in 1929 it is thought to be the most complete surviving interwar scheme by John Smith's and is grade ll listed. There is a wide variety of beers, lagers, and cider, including five hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The ones that we sampled on our visit were in excellent condition.
