Confucious — Restaurant in England

AVERAGE THIS YEAR! We Have been coming to confusious at least 2/3 times a year for over 27 yrs. And we've always done xmas eve every year. This year was the worst I've ever had. It was very dissapointing. The food was average. Service average. Prices increased. Not good like it usually is...... plastic plates. table not set up nicely. Paper table cloth and paper napkin. Like a cheap cafe! ( normally have lovely china and brass chopstick holders and proper table cloths) ..... Not this yr.. And No lamb on the menu. And have to pay deposit at booking ... and pay upfront for food and 1st round of drinks at order. Prices higher now at over £25 per head.

Even wanted to charge £20 corkage for a non alcoholic wine that we took for our friend who couldn't drink. Very dissapointed.

We probably wouldn't go there again! Such a shame as its been our tradition to go here on Christmas eve and birthdays every...

DO NOT EAT HERE! IF YOU HAVE YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN. We went to this restaurant today for my dads birthday, firstly staff were not friendly on entry. Once sat down and ready to order the buffet option the waiter explained that I would have to pay £6 for my 1 year old - who is DEFINITELY not going to eat even 2 spoons of rice.

She said if she eats I have to pay, if she doesn’t eat I don’t have to pay. I had expressed my feelings that she is literally going to have a couple bits from my plate - she ignored me and walked away.

I then got up to tell her that we were ready to order and she said she is not going to take our order until the whole table (6 of us) pay! Before we have even eaten when this wasn’t the general consensus of the restaurant. No way was we giving our money to them so we got up...

Ordered delivery, but was wrong so complained can’t fought them they sent out a new one but the time it took the rest of the food was cold, also ordered a crispy beef but was mainly veg, called up and complained told me I was being picky they tried their best which they did and I appreciated that. Ordered king prawns and they were tiny. They then become rude, told them won’t be ordering from them again and they told me not to call again, no positive outcome. Very hit and miss with this place been ordering from them for good couple of years. Spent more tonight than ever and this is what happens. No effort in the food whatsoever. Delivery drivers are fine they are kind can’t fought them but the manager I spoke to was just rude and don’t appreciate customer opinions...
