Cornmarket Cafe — Restaurant in England

A lovely, lively old skool greasy spoon, run it appears, by a group of ladies who know their way around the kitchen. Unfortunately, I think their supplier has let them down as the chicken was the toughest I've ever tried to cut. The rest of the meal was fab and a teapot with two bags and extra water it a temptation to linger for dessert! I should mention that they were very apologetic about the chicken and offered a refund, but I'm shy and didn’t want a scene. I'll try again...

Really lovely little place, the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are many options to eat and drink. Plenty of space and a definite favourite with the locals, it can get really busy! Really really bad. The food looks like it’s been thrown at the plate and the old lady that runs it is the most miserable person I’ve ever met. These places moan about being put out of business by larger chains but why would you go here when you can go to Morrison’s cafe down the road and get better food, much cheaper and good...
