Well... What can I say. 10 rooms, 7 marked car park spaces. Entrance to the car park is very very tight and the car park is even tighter due to the lack of spaces. Lovely building with a modern room style. However... We were in room 203 which had lovely typical old building character but the room was insanely hot, the room temperature controller kept changing back to 20. The windows could not be kept open due to them being sash windows with no counter balance. The mattress has to be the worst mattress we have ever "slept" on. If you can call maybe 4hrs of broken sleep actually sleeping. We ended up skiping breakfast so we could just come home at 7.30am. Which was a shame as we had planned to sleep in, have breakfast, enjoy some peace and quiet and check out at 11 to enjoy a wonder around the town. On the upside the staff were friendly and the morning staff did offer to get us the manager but we were so tired that getting home was our priority.

Been a while since being back . Drinks were ice cold which was a great start . The staff were full of friendly banter with the customers took time to speak to all customers and listened to any stories the customers had to tell . The food was amazing . I had fish and ships - fish was flavoursome chunky chips were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside Cheesy garlic bread - was slightly under cooked ( cheese was fully melted ) but still had great flavour and the cheese didn’t over power the garlic

Very good location. Stayed at the hotel to visit Longleat Safari Park. Great service for food and the room was lovely. Spacious, clean and even had hot chocolate sachets along with the general coffee and tea for the room. Would definitely stay again! There is a car park on site but can easily be missed. We parked in the car park round the back but due to arriving at night and leaving early in the morning, there were no charges.

My partner, his daughter and I came in this afternoon for lunch and honestly I am lost for words. We ordered 1 American cheese burger with drink and 2 American double cheese burgers with drinks. The drinks were 2 Pepsi max and 1 pint of jurassic. To start with, the jurassic tasted weird and had to be changed to a new pint, which was better but still not great. Secondly, the food. The food was atrocious. The 'beef' smelt like cooked cat food and tasted so bad I genuinely can not even find a word to describe it. The smell alone made sick rise to my throat. It wasn't normal at all. No one came over to check on the meal so I grabbed a waitress/bartenders attention and asked for a refund. I got told I can have it swapped with something else, so that was then sent back and changed to a chicken burger. I didn't think it could get worse, but it did. The chicken tasted acidic, it was disgusting. It tasted like it had been out for a few weeks. We all tried it and none of us liked it. The smell and the taste was indescribable. I have never in my life had a meal so bad. It is, with out a shadow of a doubt, the worst meal I have ever had in my life. Complete waste of almost £30. Which wasn't refunded. Avoid this diar place like the plague. Would never recommend this...

Food and offers spot on as always in a spoons! Drink situation was left to be desired however. Ordered everything through the app to avoid close contact with anyone, 15mins in and no drinks, we kindly asked if a waiter of he could check where our drinks were, after going to look he told us they were just being poured, this was obviously a lie as after 25 mins our food arrived and he said he'd check again, he went to look, yet came back without giving us an update and kept wondering passed serving food. Eventually a quarter of the way through my meal I went to the bar myself and explained the situation, after looking for my order on screen I was given one of my drinks so had to ask for the second which I was given with no apology about the delay. As we were leaving two guys on the table next to us were in the same situation one had finished his meal and had been to check where his drinks were and upon passing the bar an elderly gent was kicking off with the girl preparing the app orders as he had been waiting far too long...

When you mention that you are staying in a Wetherspoon hotel, some people might sneer and, to be honest, we were unsure what to expect. However, we were most pleasantly surprised. We were in room 101 which faced the rear and was consequently very quiet. The facilities were better than any Premier Inn or Holiday Inn we have stayed in. Apart from tea and coffee making facilities, we were also given 2 bottles of water and 2 packets of biscuits, which were both replenished daily. The shower room was large with soap and shower gel provided, together with more than enough towels and even a non slip mat for the walk in shower. The bed was large and comfortable and Wi-Fi worked well, as did the aircon. There was a hairdryer and ironing board and iron also provided. An added bonus is that you can help yourself to as much tea and coffee from the machines in the pub and will be provided with clean mugs upon production of your room key card. The car park is small, but we were lucky enough to get a space on both days...
