Crikey. 4:50pm on a Saturday, Sherice (Manager I assume by her barking commands) could not be more in a rush to get out of there. Shouting across the cafe to tell staff to tell the customers (that could all hear) to get out. Running and slamming chairs up on tables. Most disgusting of all is she moved an elderly gentleman's lidless drinks off the sugar stand whilst he was opening a packet of sugar so that she could move it without even asking, just telling the man this is what she was about to do. Leaving his lidless drinks on the railing next to the queue of customers before storming off, leaving the man very shocked.
We were then rushed down the queue quickly to take our order because she was in such a rush to cash up the till. She had somewhere better to be obviously. We felt very sorry for the poor staff that work here as she kept shouting commands at all of them without giving them enough time to even start the previous command, creating a confusing and disorganized back bar. They had no idea what to be getting on with, when customers were still waiting for their last orders.
The above resulted in two members of staff asking us what drinks we were waiting for as she must have not taken our order correctly and the cafe staff were flustered.
How the hell she got manager who knows. Rude, disrespectful and unorganized. The rest of the staff were lovely if not poorly managed. I hope Sherice didn't miss what ever she was rushing to...
Read moreI love their drinks but Jesus Christ compared to other shops they work at a snails pace!! Not only this, but a lot of weekend mornings when it’s the breakfast rush for commuters they only have ONE staff member managing the till, drinks and food so it’s at least a 10 minute wait in between customer! And they know they have regulars that like to order the whole shop every morning that hold up the rest of the line whilst one member makes their drinks. I could understand the wait if there was more than one staff member, but there never is on mornings. The one time they did have another staff member, trainee, she stood there and did absolutely nothing. Not even getting out the food that customers asked for which would speed up the process. I get they have all day to complete orders, but customers don’t! What’s the point in having a take away option if by the time you’ve gotten a small singular drink you might as well have gotten a whole meal from greggs opposite. I’m not the only one who thinks this either. There are plenty of people who would appreciate a job for money, so all they need to do is hire more...

During a delivery day at work, my colleague offered to buy me a drink from Costa, delivered via Just Eat. I was desperate for a Ruby Hot Chocolate but since Costa began using oat milk, it's not always easy for me to have hot drinks there. I'm a coeliac and the oat milk isn't gluten free. However, I called ahead and spoke to the nice man (who I hope will forgive me for forgetting his name - I think it was Raggie?), who kindly assured me he would use freshly-cleaned implements to make my hot chocolate.
They even threw in a pack of gluten free cherry bakewells and it was the highlight of my tough day. Thank you SO much to him for going above and beyond to brighten my day because it meant more than he knows. Next time I'm working in our Poole store, I will absolutely put in...
