I went with my mum and teenage son. There was a little confusion around the allergies although we all tried to clarify there was definitely a communication barrier. I am not sure if the issue was how I communicated but just in case you are dairy intolerant, the frappe seems to be premade so it's made with whole mike, I misunderstood and thought the dairy was in the biscuit and could be made with oat milk. The staff were lovely and we were all laughing and joking at the counter so please know this is likely my fault and not the fault of the staff in anyway. The reason I have not scored higher is because the tables were not cleared, the two tables next to us were dirty for the whole time we were there. We had cinnamon rolls which were both dry and the coffee in my opinion was no better than you'd get elsewhere. The staff were working hard, I don't know if they were understaffed or the management are expecting too much but I personally think they could have done with another pair of hands. They had also run out of vegan cream. If I am honest next time I go to Poole I will be looking for somewhere independent. Very...
Read moreThe worst Starbucks experience. I am a Starbucks gold member, I tend to drink a lot of coffee and visit numerous stores up and down the country. I visited poole store on the 30.9.2024 at 5:30 pm and was greeted by a male server who was very friendly and politely served me. It is when I picked up my coffee (flat white) that the problems arose. The female server, didn’t get her name (ginger hair) just handed me my coffee, no smile, no eye contact and just turned away. I very quickly realised that she had made the coffee with cold milk. I quickly remarked that the coffee had been made with cold milk, she looked at me turned away and began to serve another customer. Luckily, the gentleman who served me at the till stepped into remake my coffee. I think we were both waiting for her to say a quick apology, but this never come. Instead the gentleman apologised and told me that she was ‘tired’. This is no excuse. I understand we all have days when we are feeling tired or fed up ( I know I used to work in retail) but there was no excuse for that customer service....
Read moreBearing in mind I don’t earn a lot of money and have limited amount. I still went with my partner and her mum, hoping to have our annual Pumpkin Spice Latte that we’ve done the last years, I think it was 2nd October at lunch time, only to find out there was no pumpkin drinks available? When I say this, I’m serious, we can’t afford to spend money on the train again just to see if it’s available. So I guess next year maybe. The people on the till was nice and helpful though. I understand this isn’t the staff’s fault as I myself work as a customer service at minimum wage. Only people who really struggle and don’t have even enough for a driving license will understand my frustration of spending money to travel, just to find out...
