Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Came with a group of friends and were treated like delinquents. I expect the same treatment as a paying customer would. Staff were impatient as I tried to get everyone’s order and were rude when I finally placed my order. I payed a lot of money for the food and drinks (that weren’t even good quality) I purchased and so I don’t expect me and my friends to treated like a group of rowdy teens. We were quiet and respectful and were just looking for somewhere to stay warm and have a drink. It’s appalling. And to my horror it was the store manger encouraging this behaviour. Next time my money will be spent somewhere better. You think a company held in such high regard as Costa would have their staff...

Decent coffee, nice enough staff, not super speedy but that's OK if you aren't in a rush. Often the tables are mostly dirty and covered in dirty dishes, need a busboy or something. Edit to update - the tables are always dirty amd full of crockery, I've been in here many many times now, including right now, and every table has stuff on it. People have to move and bus the tables themselves to pile all on other tables, or just sit with other peoples dishes. It's pretty gross. Great staff, great coffee but the owners of the franchise have poor working ethic morals. They allowed tip money to be stolen from 2 former employees (1 of which being myself) and never compensated. Executive Coffee franchise discredits the Whitbred name. I had £250 worth of tips stolen and they did absolutely nothing about it. Disgusted! Considering I was a highly recognised and well liked colleague by the regular customers who still talk to me about the matter when I see them in town and in my new place...
