Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

I have to admit to be a coffee addict and Costa is the best one on the market even though its cost is bordering luxury. It’s a shame the building containing Costa in Tadcaster does not reflect the premium brand, being a regular daily visitor to Costa Tadcaster I have noticed its constant deterioration internally and externally. Internally the windows adjacent the food counter have cracked glass within inches of the food, the timber and metal window frames are rotten and rusting and have gaps to the outside where insects can crawl through, again above this area there have been roof leaks which all reflect in the tired decoration. Externally is much similar, stonework left to deteriorate, the building has no ramp therefore anyone with a disability has to rely on the handrails, one of which is loose and is an accident waiting to happen, and the entrance door does not open and shut properly as the door frame is loose and moves with...

The service is beyond shocking. The staff have no sense of urgency whatsoever. We walked in and there was no queue, there were 3 members of staff making drinks so it was all happy days. That was until we were stood there 30 minutes later and no member of staff had served us or made any effort to approach us. In the 30 minutes we were there, the staff had managed to complete one order of 3 drinks, two members of staff were working on the 3 drinks so why it took half an hour to complete the order is beyond me. It’s really not rocket science to make some coffees. So after we had been stood there for as long as we were, we had better things to be doing with our time...

(Sunday-early afternoon) Went in here with my other half and my dog "Gypsy". I found the flat white to be lovely and just how I would expect it to taste. The lady that served us was very polite and chatty. I had a look at all their sandwiches in the display and noted that they all looked delicious and if I'd not got a roast in the oven, I would have had one for sure.
