Lovely little cafe, quite steep steps to access the front door but has access at the back via the side alley (which is quite difficult to walk or wheelchair if you have any mobility issues) with no step so can get a wheelchair in. There is a car park near the rear access so if you can get in there the access is good to the rear of the cafe. Out on our Sunday morning bike ride with the MFCC lads but one of our usual cafe stops was shut....so we headed to Tadcaster in the hope of finding a cafe open there and came across the Lemon Tree. I've got to say it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. We went for the 'Little Monty'.....god knows what the Full Monty is like......and the food was fantastic. A perfect place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. They cater brilliantly for coeliac clients (gluten-free diet) and their cakes are some of the best I've ever eaten. You really need to order the cheesecake and a millionaire's flapjack at least 😁

The savoury food is just as delicious. The owners and their team are really nice people. I've only ever had a brilliant meal at the lemon tree.
