Today's lunchtime visit was not the most enjoyable, mainly because staff didn't appear to take the Covid-19 risk seriously. Picture this. Two members of staff are manning the counter, a lady and a gentleman. The lady is wearing her mask at all times. The gentleman covers his face with his mask only during the periods he is manning the till. Whilst preparing orders his mask is covering his chin and he carries on having discussions with colleagues and customers as normal. Later, a group of three customers walk in and queue to place an order. Hard to tell, but they could be in their 30's. They are not wearing a facial cover. You can't miss them, they are a bit more joyful than other customers. I noticed a number of other customers turned their heads as they entered and made their way to the queue. None of the staff thought of asking them to kindly cover their face. The official Costa website says "As ever, the safety of our store team members and customers remains our number one priority". Clearly not in this branch. We used to be regular customers at this branch, ever since it first opened. Most likely not after...
Read moreEvery time I go into this specific costa (willow brook) there is always an issue. In the past it’s been bad customer service, never good. Thinking il just pop in on the off chance I have a good experience and the fact I work right next door was why I gave it another go. The fact I went into this store with previous bad experiences, still willing to give my custom says a lot about me as a person/customer. Not finding anything I liked and walking back out again, to be chased down the car park by a member of staff claiming that I’ve nicked a reusable coffee mug. Please costa, if I was going to nick something it wouldn’t be one of your crummy little mugs and certainly nothing from your shop. I will not be giving another chance. Il stick to my...
Read moreThe place relies on Costa brand name.
Over our trips, we have had some & bad coffee (& service, likewise). They sometimes have apprentices doing on the job training. Piece of advice, If you see someone getting trained there, walk away.
If you are in for ‘Costa’ coffee, this place is a hit or misses. We once had to wait for quite some time , even when people behind us were getting served. Coffee arrived late and cold. So disappointed we were, that we wrote to Costa feedback on-line. Not that we expected anything significant, still haven’t heard anything back, not even an acknowledgement.
Next best place for coffee is the Subway a few steps away or Starbucks, if you are up for a drive to Aztec...
