Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Coffee was ok. Food was ok. Service was ok ish. Tables dirty. Staff stood around on their mobile phones. I scanned the app after adding a 25% off food reward and scanned it again to get my Birthday Treat reward; well, neither rewards worked and I had to pay full price. When I mentioned it to the lady serving me I was told I didn't load the rewards properly ... I did!!! I was told there was nothing they could do, and I would have to visit Costa again before the expiry date to use my rewards and make sure I load them properly! Rude! I did load them properly, but for some reason they didn't work at the till ... not my fault. Not very helpful! And I wont be visiting Costas for a long time if this is the...

The best premises I have visited so far :) Came in yesterday and was served by Charlie and another person I do not know the name of (something along the line of Alice/Alex/Alec, again didn't quite see name badge) and was greeted by brilliant customer service. The place is like a tardis with very clean toilets and regularly cleared tables, and has views of launceston castle to rear which gave a real good atmosphere. The baristas working made the best coffee I have tasted from any Costa! when I asked their secret they said they were passionate and it was made with love

A quick pit stop today for a coconut cappuccino and a sausage bap and witnessed some awesome, caring customer service. An elderly gentleman customer had some concerns about a text message he had received regarding possible contact with a person affected by Covid. The male barista and a young female colleague checked the info out online for the customer, Googled the number in the text and put his mind at rest about a potential scam message. Truly went above and beyond and both deserve acknowledgement and reward. Come on Costa, recognise these individuals. I understand the batista is due to leave the business soon. I'm sure he will be sorely missed. Well done both. A true asset to...
