This was a superb pub for drinking, incorporating a stylish design from the patterns on the walls! The lights have an interesting layout how they are hanging down together and counter is styled well too, including mock greenery and a comedic Nobody Gets Out Alive sign. I had a refreshing pint of Cruzcampo, appreciating the outdoor seating area that was also kept clean!

Absolutely disgusting attitude from the blonde woman working there! She was very rude and aggressive for absolutely no reason when I asked where the toilet is she said "what a stupid question" then proceeded to laugh at me. I think she has a problem with people who are autistic. I bet I'm not the only person she's offended.

Went here to watch the Liverpool v's Real Madrid UCL final. The last time is was here, a few months ago, it was dead, just a couple of people and our crowd. It seems the sun and footy had brought the masses out and what an atmosphere!! Can't remember it being this packed since it was Yates in the late 90's. Great night!

Called into the Darlington Flyer as had just looked in another lunch venue (Townhouse) and seen a fishfinger sandwich with hand cut chips (meaning about 5 of) for £8.50. Deciding to look else where we were attracted to new name and decided to 'give it a go!'. Two fish, chips and lovely peas later with two half lemonades (it was lunchtime) and charged just UNDER a tenner (£10) correct decision made. Not a normal choice for me but have to say very impressed with food and friendly staff to boot. Go on,...

This pub has recently had a very nice refurbishment, and has the benefit of several big screen TVs for your sport, a great selection of beers at very competitive prices, and a dedication to cleanliness- bar area, toilets- that local competitors lack. To top it all they have a hard working management team of Jess and Connor who welcome your every visit, are very friendly, and go the extra mile fo the customer, making this one of Darlington’s go to bars....
