Popped in as passing and enquired about the lunchtime special without receiving a warm welcome or any form of friendly interaction. The response I received was rather curt, as I was simply pointed towards the menu and informed that the lunchtime special options were located there. Determining that I desired a pizza with Peperoni and Jalapenos, I proceeded to the payment counter. However, to my surprise, I was informed that the total amount due was £12 instead of the expected £9.99 for two toppings. When I questioned this discrepancy, I was informed that the Jalapenos were not included in the special offer, but I had the option to add extra cheese instead. Frustrated, I decided to forgo the Jalapenos and paid the advertised £9.99.
Upon receiving my order, I returned to the office to enjoy my pizza. However, I couldn't shake off the feeling that it would have been more enjoyable with the addition of Jalapenos and a lot less Cheese. Consequently, I decided to reach out to Domino's Customer Care via email to relay my experience. Promptly, I received a response requesting proof of purchase and informing me that an area manager would be in touch. Unfortunately, my interaction was with the manager of the actual store and his attitude left much to be desired. Rather than engaging in a constructive conversation, he spoke at me in an arrogant manner, asserting that the price I had been quoted was accurate due to the extra cheese I had requested. He then suggested that the misunderstanding was my fault and advised me to be clearer about my preferences in the future. Frustrated by his dismissive attitude, I promptly ended the call.
I fail to comprehend what was unclear about my request for a £9.99 pizza with two toppings: Peperoni and Jalapenos. Avoid !!!
Again I relayed my experience to Domino’s customer service department . Unfortunately, nothing back. …. To me , it appears because this is franchise partner , (this is mirrored in other 1 and 2 star reviews on this store on Google) Domino’s head office have no appetite to get involved, other than an initial scripted response to appease your initial complaint . I placed an order for delivery and called the restaurant to inquire about the status of my order after a considerable delay. The person who answered the phone seemed disinterested and failed to provide any helpful information. I was left feeling unappreciated and frustrated by this lack of concern for a paying customer.
Moreover, the delivery itself was incredibly slow. I understand that delivery times can vary, but my order took significantly longer than the estimated time provided during the order placement. This delay was particularly disappointing as I had been eagerly anticipating a warm and delicious meal.
To make matters worse, upon finally receiving my order, the food was disappointingly cold. I understand that maintaining the temperature of a delivered pizza can be challenging, but the cold and unappetizing state in which it arrived was unacceptable. It seemed as though the pizza had been left unattended for an extended period before being delivered.
I believe in the quality and taste of Domino's Pizza, but this experience left a negative impression on me. I kindly ask that you take these concerns into consideration and make the necessary improvements to ensure better customer service, faster deliveries, and the maintenance of food temperature. The store manager Nadeem (so he tells me) was extremely unhelpful and rude when I called up the branch telling them they had overcharged me. Instead of being apologetic and trying to sort it out straight away, Nadeem was trying to intimidate me and was speaking to me in an extremely aggressive tone telling me that I ordered the pizza online and that if I called up the store the deals would’ve been better and that it’s my mistake for ordering online. Never been so insulted and belittled in my life and let’s not mention how disgusting the pizza was after all that chaos. Will not be going to this branch ever again. Also just a note for customer relations or anyone senior at dominos; please consider putting Nadeem the store manager of bridge street branch in some training or consider his job role.
