Dream Cafe — Restaurant in England

I don't want to give any stars. Went in today ordered cheese cake for my 86yr old mum sogy 2 coffees I had a appointment down rd at 1130am so plan was to have quick coffee and let my mum wait there for my daughter and grandkids . The lady that took my order didn't make it she started wiping tables outside chatting with regulars. As you walk in first doors all inclosed it's like smog of smokers. Surley this isn't right? When she came in from outside I politely said excuse me how long will coffee be explained not being rude but wouldn't have time to drink it. She bit my head off saying I don't know what you want me to do you have only just walked in. Iv been in catering most my working life would never talk to a customer like that. Then while I was gone my grandson who is autistic was chatting to customers he doesn't understand social distancing. The customers seemed happy to chat with him even saying goodbye as they left. Same woman came over and was rude to him telling him to sit down stop running around . He wasn't running around as my daughter would have stopped him knowing hot food and drinks are dangerous. All in all a nasty experience ...

First visit here today, I was surprised to see folk smoking on the mostly enclosed terrace and I felt like I was on holiday abroad for a moment!

I went to the counter, ordered a hot chocolate, just as the dentist round the corner called me to say my Mum was ready to be collected. I left my drink at an inside table, the super friendly lady working today said no problem, then returned with my 94 year old Mum.

She loved the decor, the coffee was good and we had a nice time chatting whilst lots of locals came and went.
