Great for the ale drinkers and the cider is pretty good. I just think the limited opening hours as they are closing earlier, the limited space, and the landlord is not particularly friendly let's the place down.
Due to the size of the pub, if you don't like dogs then I would avoid as dogs are allowed in and some owners don't seem to appreciate you don't want them jumping on you but you don't have the space to move away.

Read moreDifficult to rate. The micropub itself was fine, cosy layout with (guess) wooden walls and port hole type windows in the divisions. Beer was fine only managed two halves as time limited needed to get back for coach to London. Knocking it down 2 🌟 as the bar person (owner ?) wasn't exactly chatty or friendly with me - and one of the founding principles of micropubs was good conversation and friendliness as well as good beer. Read moreNice little place with a great selection. Shame that the drunkard who insulted me for just being me was a known local who's actions apparently didn't suprise the bar staff or what I suspect was the owner lurking in the background.who simply shrugged it off as normal.
Genuinely love going to Lyons Den and Snuffy Jacks and would recommend them whole heartedly, with friendly bar tenders and a much more pleasant atmosphere.
