The food is nothing special. Always the same selection, and all tastes fairly bland. Ingredients are definitely cheap - the meats are poor quality, fatty and chewy. Desserts are just cheap Iceland style puds and tubs of ice cream. We went for a child's birthday and once the staff saw us sing happy birthday they told us they were changing the child's order to a full priced adult seeing as he was 11 that day. We were already paying for 6 adult meals, it was just greed/mean on behalf of the staff and made us all leave feeling negative about the place. Drinks are listed on the menu as draught and branded soft drinks (at top prices) but the staff are using supermarket non branded drinks when you watch them at the bar - pouring from 2litre bottles and cans with multipack on them. The drinks are not even refrigerated - the soft drinks and jug of water were served warm. The temperature in the restaurant was boiling hot and stuffy. Overall, we felt it was overpriced for the quality of the food and drink and the staff need to be more friendly and polite- when they come up to the table they don't smile or make eye contact or respond when you talk to them....they just wander off back to the bar to stand and stare. Oh and one male member of staff kept cleaning tables with Dettol (no complaints, that's good!) but with the dirtiest dishcloth ever seen....looks like they borrowed it from the local mechanic. We kept wincing everytime we saw him go and wipe yet another table with the same filthy stained blackened dishcloth. It made us wonder about their levels of hygiene, especially in areas not visible to the public such as...
Read moreWell well well where do I start, 5 of us out for a meal stuck on a small table when there were 4 big empty tables which stayed empty. The staff were rude and stared at us all night. We asked for a jug of water and ice as well as normal drinks but was only given water with no ice. The normal drinks were out of bottles and room temperature. Bearing in mind it was extremely hot that day the air con was only turned on for 2 minutes then turned off again every 30 minutes so didn't do anything. The food was cold which is funny considering the restaurant was so hot, perhaps that's where all the ice went chilling the hot food!! Not only was the food cold all the meat was chewy the chicken was pink inside and the ribs were a joke, just tiny squares of bone with a bit of grissal on them. Then we come to the desserts, the cheapest ice cream you ever had all fruit out of a can, warm evaporated milk sat on the side in the heat and the cheapest bland cake and cheese cake you have ever had.... no wonder they only had 3 tables in, that speaks volumes in itself! To top it off our young lad was throwing up all night and the next day! We will never be going back and would definitely NOT recommend this to anyone! Wish there was a 0 star option because that is what this place...
Read moreI don’t really like to leave negative reviews, however having used Dynasty for the past 11 years and regularly enjoying the food for various group functions and family occasions, my visit on Friday the 23 of April was unsatisfactory, the service from what I can only assume was the owner/manager was appalling the way he spoke to the children was abrupt, I had to bite my lip, it was busy and I get that, but get more staff, don’t treat your loyal customers this way, A group arrived on the next table, he moved an unwanted chair from there table and placed it between my wife and daughter, making access to the buffet difficult, 10 minuets later I politely asked for the chair to be moved, He did remove it but with anger, not unlike Basil Fawlty, we regularly spend between £85 to £140, never again, at the end of the evening I asked what had happened to the pleasant grey haired gentleman that had always been there, he replied, he’s gone away, I replied I rest my case.
The food was of a good standard let down by a poor manager, the rest of the staff pleasant.. shame really but I will never spend my hard earned...
